An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard for a purse that had been found and took possession of it at 12:47 p.m. Aug. 8. The owner of the purse was contacted and advised the purse was turned in and she could retrieve it at the police department.
An officer responded to McDonald’s at 11:23 a.m. Aug. 8 for a report of a non-injury crash that occurred on private property. The parties exchanged information and an incident report was taken.
An officer responded to Bindery and Pressworks on West Bigelow Avenue at 11:12 a.m. Aug. 8 for a 911 follow-up and was advised it was accidental. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Nighthawk Drive at 5:23 p.m. Aug. 8 for a parking complaint of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the owner and the vehicle was moved without incident.
An officer responded to Grant Avenue at 1:35 a.m. Aug. 7 in reference to an intoxicated subject. The subject was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Officers responded to Madison Street at 7:07 p.m. Aug. 7 for a complaint of a possible trespasser. After further investigation, it was learned that former tenants were on the property to retrieve their property. The caller advised they wanted the subjects warned for trespassing. Both subjects were given a verbal warning for trespassing.
An officer responded to West Avenue at 6:42 p.m. Aug. 7 for a report of theft of a catalytic converter on a parked vehicle. The caller reported that her vehicle was parked in the driveway over the weekend and an unknown subject stole the catalytic converter. After further investigation, there is no lead on a subject. An incident report was taken.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop at T-Mobile on Route 161 at 12:23 p.m. Aug. 7. Once the officer’s assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Middlefield Bank on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:27 a.m. Aug. 6 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee, who advised it was accidental. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers responded to Madison Avenue at 11:10 a.m. Aug. 6 for a trespassing complaint. The caller reported a subject who has previously been trespassed from the location was on the property. Subsequently, Michael Millington II, 36, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 1:35 p.m. Aug. 6 for a complaint of a pipe for smoking marijuana being found on the ground. An employee stated she found it and was not able to identify who it belonged to. The officer took possession of the item so that it could be destroyed.
Officers responded to West South Street at 4:11 p.m. Aug. 6 for a report of a dispute between former roommates over property. The officers spoke to both parties and advised the matter was a civil issue and advised the parties to separate.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a noise complaint on Ketch Road at 9:58 p.m. Aug. 6. Once the officer’s assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:35 p.m. Aug. 6 for a noise complaint of loud music. The officer patrolled the area and determined there was no violation.
Officers responded to the no-name alley east of Grant Ave at 4:28 p.m. Aug. 5 for a female who was intoxicated laying in the grass. Upon arrival, officers found a female subject in the grass and could detect a strong odor of alcohol. Subsequently, officers transported the female to her residence, where she was released to a family member. Melinda Frey, 44, of Plain City, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop on Taylor Road at 1:25 a.m. Aug. 5. Once the officer’s assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
Officers responded to South Jefferson Avenue at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 5 for a report of an injury crash at the intersection of South Jefferson Avenue and Perry Pike. After further investigation, it was learned that the driver of a Nissan Frontier ran a red light and struck a Ford Escape. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. One driver was transported to a nearby hospital by Medic 263 and the other was released to a family member. The driver of the Nissan, Dalton Moore, 21, of North Lewisburg, was cited for red light violation, FRA suspension and no operator’s license.
An officer responded to Perry Pike at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 5 for a non-injury crash between two vehicles at the intersection of Perry Pike and South Jefferson Ave. The parties exchanged information and an incident report was taken.
During a traffic stop on North Chillicothe Street at 11:36 p.m. Aug. 5, officers could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a probable cause search, a marijuana pipe was located. Subsequently, Chad Smith, 45, of Plain City, was issued a citation for marijuana paraphernalia.
An officer responded to Nighthawk Drive at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 5 for a complaint of a dog bite. A report was taken and the information was forwarded to the Madison County Dog Warden.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Drive at 8:06 a.m. Aug. 4 for a cellphone that had been found and took possession of the phone. A short time later, the officer returned it to the owner.
An officer found a parked vehicle with the headlights on at ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:21 a.m. Aug. 4. The officer attempted contact with the vehicle owner and keyholders for the business, but was unsuccessful. The headlights were turned off and a note was left.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 11:17 a.m. Aug. 4 for an alarm drop and made contact with the homeowner, who advised it was accidental. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.

An officer responded to Dogwood Court at 2:59 p.m. Aug. 4 for a complaint of two solicitors. The officer made contact with the individuals, who advised they worked for Blue Raven Solar, however, they did not have permits. Subsequently, Nicolas Nye, 20, and Anna Morlock, 18, both of London were issued citations for peddler/solicitor.
Officers responded to North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 5:26 p.m. Aug. 4 for a complaint of a neighbor dispute. The parties were separated and were advised not to have contact with each other.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 7:12 p.m. Aug. 3 for a report of a possible domestic violence incident. After further investigation, a juvenile was arrested and charged with domestic violence, menacing and unruly. The juvenile was transported to Central Ohio Youth Center and released into their custody.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 1:18 p.m. Aug. 3 for a complaint of a truck blocking the alley way. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who moved the vehicle without incident.

An officer found a parked U.S. mail truck with the headlights on at the U.S. Post Office on Maple Street at 2 a.m. Aug. 3 with no one in the area. The headlights were turned off and a note was left.
An officer found a parked vehicle with its interior lights on, on Coachman Drive at 1 a.m. Aug. 3. The officer contacted the vehicle owner, who advised they were left on by mistake and turned them off.

An officer responded to ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:20 a.m. Aug. 2 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee, who advised it was accidental. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 9:29 p.m. Aug. 2 for a theft of services complaint. The subject was given a warning and an incident report was taken.
An officer responded to East Main Street at 4:16 p.m. Aug. 2 for a road hazard complaint of a water value lid that was stuck in the up position, which caused damage to multiple vehicles traveling the road. Public Works was notified of the road hazard and arrived on scene a short time later.
Officer responded to West Main Street at 5:38 a.m. Aug. 2 for a subject inside a vacant building. Contact was made with the subject, who advised the owner of the building allowed him to be on the premises. A short time later, the owner of the building confirmed the subject was allowed to be there.
Officers responded to Gay Street at 1:10 a.m. Aug. 2 for a behavioral health issue. After meeting with the individual, officers were told she was not a threat to herself or others and advised she was fine. After determining everything to be fine, the officers returned to patrol.
Officers responded to East Main Street at 1:40 p.m. Aug. 2 for a report of a disabled vehicle. While making contact with the driver, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Subsequently, Christian Brent, 23, of Columbus, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The disabled vehicle was towed from the scene.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 at 4:54 p.m. Aug. 1 for a well-being check and was advised everything was fine.
An officer found a metal pipe in the northbound lane on South Chillicothe Street, north of Lantern Lane at 3:07 p.m. Aug. 1. The officer removed and disposed of the object.
An officer responded to Fanshell Drive at 3:02 p.m. Aug. 1 for a parking complaint of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the owner and the vehicle was moved without incident.
An officer responded to Buckeye Brass and Winds on North Chillicothe Street at 3:08 p.m. July 31 for a complaint of a canine that was left in a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer observed that the vehicle was parked in the shade, the windows were down and the canine did not seem to be in distress. A short time later, the vehicle owner returned to the vehicle and left the area.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office on an alarm drop at Wendy’s on Route 161 at 2:01 a.m. July 31. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to a single vehicle injury crash on Route 161 near Butler Avenue at 2:17 a.m. July 31. The driver of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle lost control, wrecked and sustained injuries. Medic 261 arrived on scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital. Subsequently, the driver, Joseph Orlowski, 28, of Lewis Center, was issued citations for reasonable control and driving on a closed roadway.
Officers responded to Gay Street at 5:06 a.m. July 31 for a behavioral health issue. After meeting with the individual, she was not a threat to herself or others and advised she was fine. After determining everything to be fine, the officers returned to patrol.
A traffic stop was conducted with a truck that lost an unsecured item on U.S. 42 at 2:25 p.m. July 31. The driver was advised of the incident and was advised he needed to retrieve the item. A short time later, the item was still on the ground. Subsequently, David Waugh, 37, of London, was issued a citation for littering.
An officer was requested to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a disabled vehicle on Plain City-Georgesville Road at 6:48 a.m. July 31. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Rummell Brill Insurance Agency on West Main Street at 6:20 p.m. July 30 for a parking complaint for a vehicle parked in a private parking spot. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who moved their car without incident.
An officer responded in the area of Warrenton Drive on a 911 unknown at 11:26 a.m. July 30. The officer canvassed the area and did not locate anyone in distress.

The officer attempted contact with the vehicle owner but was unsuccessful. The business owner was advised that he could have the vehicle towed.
Officers responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 5:34 p.m. July 30 for an alarm drop. The officer spoke to an employee, who advised it was accidental. After determining everything to be fine, officers returned to patrol.

Officers responded to a non-injury hit and run accident on Carriage Drive at 11:16 p.m. July 30. The caller advised that he witnessed a black Chevrolet Corvette strike a parked maroon Honda Pilot before fleeing the scene but was unable to get the license plate number. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the Corvette. An incident report was taken.

An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 6:17 p.m. July 28 for a 911 follow-up. The officer was unable to locate the individual, canvassed the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.

An officer responded to North Avenue at 1:54 p.m. July 28 for a report of wires laying in the roadway. Station 261 and Ohio Edison were notified and arrived a short time later.
