Police responded on Aug. 23 at 10:20 p.m. to a report of trespassing on South Jefferson Avenue. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant. The complainant advised her husband was yelling at her and telling her that he was ready to leave for a planned trip even though her shift was not over. The complainant was upset and stated that she wanted her husband to be trespassed from McDonald’s and no longer be allowed on the premises of the business. Officers made contact with the complainant’s husband and advised him he could no longer be on the premises. Officers returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 23 at 1:52 p.m. to conduct a well-being check on West South Street. The caller stated he missed his appointment and was concerned. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the subject who advised him that he was fine, he just didn’t feel like going today and would call to reschedule. Upon determining everything to be okay, the officer returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 23 at 12:53 p.m. to assist another agency on Friend Street. An officer was met on station by an Ohio State Patrol Trooper in reference to a BAC test. Once assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 24 at 11:42 p.m. to reports of a threatened suicide on Maple Court. An employee with a suicide hotline stated that he was speaking with a female subject who stated that she was contemplating suicide but did not give any specific means. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the female subject and her mother. After determining the female subject was not a danger to herself, the officer returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 24 at 6:40 p.m. to conduct a well-being check on Smucker Lane. The officer made contact with the subject who advised she was fine and just missed the phone call from a family member. The officer then returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 24 at 10:47 a.m. to a non-injury crash on East Second Avenue. Upon arrival, the officer met with Summer Allison, driver of a blue 2014 Toyota Corolla, and the driver of a red 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The officer learned that the driver of the Cruze was eastbound in East Second when she struck a southbound blue Toyota Corolla that failed to yield at the intersection. The officer later issued Allison a citation for failure to yield. The officer then returned to patrol. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 11:29 p.m. to reports of a loud noise or disturbance on North Avenue. The caller stated that she could hear several subjects yelling inside the residence. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with all parties. All parties stated that there was no dispute. One male subject (who was visibly intoxicated) continued to talk extremely loud while standing outside his apartment. The male subject stated that they would all remain inside the residence for the rest of the night and stay quiet. Officers then returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 10:48 p.m. to assist another agency at Perry Park. An officer responded to the listed location on behalf of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to suspicious circumstances. Once assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 3:37 p.m. to a report of trespassing on Lafayette-Plain City Road. Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a terminated employee not leaving the business. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the Edgewater manager who advised that she had fired and employee earlier in the day and that the employee had only left minutes before officers arrived on scene. The manager advised she would like the employee to be warned against trespassing on the business property and that she needed to return a key that belonged to the business. The officer met with the employee at the Shell station and advised the employee that she was not to trespass at Edgewater. The employee was unable to locate the business key and was advised to contact the police department if she finds it. Officers then returned to patrol.
Police responded to a report on Aug. 25 at 1:39 p.m. at Foster Street. An officer was dispatched in reference to a possible misuse of a credit card. Upon arrival, the officer met with the caller. The caller was unable to provide the officer with specific charges that were not hers. The officer advised the caller that she would need to get a clear statement and mark which charges she did not do. The officer then returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 11:56 a.m. to assist another agency on Lambka Road. An officer responded at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an alarm drop. Once assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 4:14 a.m. to a 911 call at Willowbend Circle. Dispatch stated that they received a call from a 911-only phone. A male subject stated that he dialed the wrong number and then hung up the phone. Dispatch was unable to call the number back. Upon arrival, an officer checked the area but was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. The officer then returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 25 at 2:30 a.m. to assist another agency on U.S. 42 North.While on patrol, an officer observed a state trooper on a traffic stop on U.S. 42 just north of North Chillicothe Street. The trooper requested the officer observe as the trooper read the BMV 2255 to his prisoner. Once assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers responded on Aug. 26 at 5:06 p.m. to a 911 follow-up on East Main Street. Officers were dispatched to a possible domestic violence incident. Dispatchers said they received a 911 call and heard arguing coming from the background. Officers met with the homeowner who advised she did not call and was the only one home. Officers then went to several neighboring residents and could not locate the caller. Dispatch attempted to call the number back, but the phone was turned off. When they were unable to locate the caller, officers returned to patrol.
Police responded on Aug. 26 at 12:14 a.m. to a DOC on North Avenue. Officers responded in reference to a neighbor dispute. The complainant stated that after officers cleared the previous call for a noise complaint, Chaz Stanley came outside and began to argue with the complainant. The officer made contact with Stanely and advised him of the complaint. The officer warned Stanley for disorderly conduct and advised him of the consequences if his actions continues. Stanley stated that he would go inside and remain quiet for the rest of the night. As soon as Stanley entered the apartment, the officer could hear him yelling profanity from several feet away. Several neighbors also stated that they could hear Stanley yelling inside the apartment. The officer then made contact with Stanley and advised him that he would be charged with disorderly conduct. The officer advised Stanley to stay inside his apartment and not to cause any further disturbance until the officer finished his summons. While typing the summons, the officer could hear Stanley yelling inside his apartment from inside the officer’s cruiser. Several neighboring apartment residents came outside to see what was causing the noise. The officer then made contact with Stanley and placed him into custody for persistent disorderly conduct. The officer transported Stanley to Tri-County Regional Jail where he was released into their custody. The officer then returned to patrol.
