According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with translating for a subject at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:18 p.m. July 27. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
Officers found a door unsecured at Ferguson Funeral Home on East Main Street at 11:51 p.m. July 27. The officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic situation on Smith Calhoun Road at 5:19 a.m. July 26. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
Officers were requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop on Plain City-Georgesville Road at 6:29 a.m. July 26. Once the officers were no longer needed, they returned to patrol.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sherriff’s Office with translation during an investigation at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 12:46 p.m. July 26. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to a report of two males walking two dogs without leashes on Nighthawk Drive at 1:02 p.m. July 26. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate the subjects.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on a juvenile complaint on Cemetery Park at 3:09 p.m. July 26. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
Officers responded to a report of theft at Plain City Druggist on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:51 p.m. July 26. The caller reported two juveniles left the business with an item and didn’t pay for it. A short time later, the juveniles were located and were trespassed from the location, per the request of the business, and their parents were notified.
An officer responded to Spaulding Avenue at 4:20 p.m. July 26 for a complaint of a neighbor dispute regarding property. The parties separated and were advised to remain civil. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between family members on Harrington Drive at 6:14 a.m. July 25. After further investigation, Dillon Sarrazine, 19, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Edgewater Place Assisted Living on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 11:20 a.m. July 25 for a complaint of a former employee bothering current employees. The caller requested that the former employee be trespassed from the location. The officer made contact and notified the former employee she has been verbally trespassed from the location.
An officer responded to the Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at noon July 25 for a parking complaint. After further investigation, it was learned that the vehicle was supposed to be at ER Autocare and was temporarily moved to the listed location. Once the vehicle was moved, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Willowbrook Court at 9:51 p.m. July 25 for a noise complaint of possible gun shots. The officer searched the area but did not observe anything out of the ordinary.
Officers found vehicles parked at Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 10:48 p.m. July 25. Contact was made with the owners and they advised they were employees. After determining everything to be fine, officers returned to patrol.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 6:40 p.m. July 24 for a complaint of a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Upon further investigation, there were no threats made and the parties were separated.
Officers were requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office on a possible stalking complaint at Bibibop on Route 161 at 12:37 p.m. July 24. Once the officers were no longer needed, they returned to patrol.
An officer was requested for a civil standby while a tenant gathered his belongings on West Avenue at 11:45 a.m. July 24. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to a non-injury hit-skip crash at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 6:27 a.m. July 24. The caller advised that he was traveling north on U.S. 42 when an unknown driver driving a red Chevy Equinox passed him unsafely, swiping the driver’s side. The area was canvassed, looking for the vehicle, but it wasn’t located. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to a complaint of an unruly juvenile on South Chillicothe Street at 10:09 p.m. July 24. After speaking with the juvenile, the officer advised of possible consequences. Once determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer found a door at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue unsecured after hours at 3:27 a.m. July 23. The officer made contact with an employee, who advised he would lock it before he leaves. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers responded to East First Avenue for a report of loud music coming from The Grainery at 7:59 p.m. July 23 and determined the noise level to be too loud. The business owner was notified, turned down the music and advised he would keep the noise level down
Officers responded to Dickens Lane at 7:21 p.m. July 23 for a report of a vehicle possibly being tampered with. The caller reported he found his trunk wide open but nothing appeared to be missing and no damage was found. He requested the incident be documented.
An officer responded to a loose canine at the intersection of West Second Avenue and Park Street at 3:47 p.m. July 23. The officer took possession of the dog and transported him back to the police department. A short time later, the owner arrived at the police department and claimed the dog. The owner was verbally warned for dog running at large.
An officer was requested for a civil standby while a tenant gathered his belongings from the Old Hotel Apartments on West Main Street at 10:14 a.m. July 23. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to a road hazard and found that a tree had fallen on power lines on Noteman Road at 11:46 a.m. July 23. Station 261 was notified.
An officer found a door at Pioneer Pizza on North Chillicothe Street unsecured after business hours at 3:46 a.m. July 22. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at NAPA on Village Boulevard at 10:08 p.m. July 22 and made contact with a delivery driver, who advised it was accidental. A keyholder was contacted and declined to respond.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 7:30 p.m. July 22 for a complaint of a neighbor dispute regarding a missing package. The package was located and the parties were advised to remain civil.
Officers responded to the Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 5:43 p.m. July 22 for a complaint of public indecency. Upon arrival, the subject had already left the location. The caller advised he wanted the subject trespassed from the location. The investigation is ongoing.
An officer recovered a small amount of marijuana and placed it into evidence at 4:30 p.m. July 22.
An officer responded to Country Side Road at 2:20 p.m. July 22 for a report of possible theft from a bank account. The caller advised that the bank is already looking into it, but wanted the report documented. An incident report was taken.

Officers responded to Converse Avenue at 8:29 a.m. July 22 for a possible domestic dispute and were advised it was a verbal dispute. The parties advised they would remain calm and there would be no further issues.
