According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was requested to assist Medic 261 in gaining entry into a residence on Stenner Court at 5:09 a.m. Aug. 29.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 11:28 a.m. Aug. 28 for a complaint of a suspicious person at a residence the day prior. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 4:40 p.m. Aug. 28 for a possible dispute between a husband and wife. The parties agreed to remain calm and civil.
An officer responded to Dickens Lane at 6:17 p.m. Aug. 28 for a 911 follow-up. The officer was advised everything was fine and the call was accidental.
Officers responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:31 p.m. Aug. 28 for a dispute between an employee and a customer. Once both parties were calm, the officers returned to patrol.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop at Holmes Lumber on Route 161 at 11:27 p.m. Aug. 28. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration which was driving on a closed road on Route 161 at 11:36 p.m. Aug. 28. Subsequently, Brandon Bates, 26, of Dublin was issued citations for driving on a closed road and expired tags. The vehicle was impounded to the PCPD Impound Lot. Bates was given a ride to his residence.
A traffic stop was initiated on a Yamaha ATV driving on a closed road on Route 161 at 1:17 a.m. Aug. 27. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer could detect a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver. After further investigation, Ryan McDermott, 42, of Plain City was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He refused to submit to a breath test. McDermott was issued citations for driving on closed roadways, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating the ATV on the roadway and open container. He was later released to a friend. The ATV was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
Officers responded to East First Avenue at 3:25 a.m. Aug. 27 for a complaint of possible vandalism. Officers observed a privacy fence that had been damaged. The area was searched but no one was located. The investigation is ongoing.
An officer found a door unsecured after hours at Pioneer Pizza on North Chillicothe Street at 4:24 a.m. Aug. 27. A keyholder was contacted and arrived on scene.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Nighthawk Drive at 5:48 p.m. Aug. 27. Contact was made with the owner, who moved the vehicle without incident.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 7:48 p.m. Aug. 27 for a complaint of a possible domestic dispute. After speaking to the parties, they advised it was a verbal dispute. They agreed to remain calm and separate, if needed.
An officer responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:07 p.m. Aug. 27 for a noise complaint of loud music and determined the music was not excessive.
An officer responded to Buggywhip Lane at 9:48 p.m. Aug. 27 for a unknown vehicle parked in front of a residence. Contact was made with the driver, who advised she was in the area visiting a friend and was leaving.
A traffic stop was initiated on Route 161 at 5:52 p.m. Aug. 26 for a vehicle driving on a closed road. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer could detect an odor of alcohol and observed an open beer can in the center console. After further investigation, Andrew Cook, 37, of Dublin was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Cook submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in .248% BAC. He was issued citations for driving upon street posted or closed for repair, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OVI-super concentration and open container. He was later released to a family member.
An officer responded to a complaint of loud music coming from The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:41 p.m. Aug. 26. An officer patrolled the area and determined that the music was excessive. Contact was made with the business owner, who was advised of the violation and was advised to turn the music down. Subsequently, Timothy Dawson, 58, of Marysville, was issued a citation for excessive noise.
Officers responded to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 12 a.m. Aug. 25 for a complaint of a possible theft/possible attempt to purchase alcohol by underage individuals. The investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 25 for a complaint of a loose canine without a collar. The officer took possession of the canine and released it to the Union County Dog Warden, who transported it to the Union County Humane Society.
Officers responded to a possible domestic dispute between a husband and wife on Gay Street at 11:02 a.m. Aug. 25. The parties advised it was a verbal dispute. Once the parties were calm and separated, the officers returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 12:12 p.m. Aug. 25 for a complaint of telecommunication harassment phone calls from an unknown subject. The caller advised she has blocked the number but also wanted a report in case the calls persist. An incident report was taken.

An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a possible injury accident on Route 161 at 7:27 p.m. Aug. 25. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 8:04 p.m. Aug. 25 for a complaint of several juveniles possibly smoking marijuana. Contact was made with the juveniles, who were not smoking marijuana, and it was determined there was no criminal activity taking place. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:32 p.m. Aug. 25 for a noise complaint of loud music. The officer determined the music was excessive. The business was contacted and turned down the music.
An officer responded to Alderwood Circle at 11:35 a.m. Aug. 24 for a parking complaint of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the owner, who moved the vehicle without incident.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving on a closed roadway on Route 161 at 5:22 p.m. Aug. 24. After gathering information, it was learned the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. Subsequently, Kriscia Martinez, 37, of Columbus was cited for driving on a closed road and no operator’s license. The vehicle was towed to the Plain City Impound Lot.
A Razor scooter was found in the roadway on South Chillicothe Street at 11:25 a.m. Aug. 23 and was turned in to the police department.
An officer responded to Dogwood Court at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 23 for a complaint of a solicitor. The officer made contact with the individual, who advised he worked for Fluent and he did not have a solicitor permit from the village. Subsequently, Lukas Donohoe, 25, of Columbus was cited for soliciting without a permit.
Officer responded to the U.S. Post Office on Maple Street at 3:39 p.m. Aug. 23 for a well-being check made contact and advised everything was fine.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 161 at 6:39 p.m. Aug. 23 for a driver who had a suspended license. Upon approaching the vehicle, there was an odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and marijuana was found. Subsequently, Jacob Hinger, 22, of Mount Vernon was issued a citation for FRA suspension, no operator’s license and possession of drugs. The vehicle was towed to the Plain City Impound Lot.
An officer responded to Anderson Avenue at 7:51 p.m. Aug. 23 for a suspicious vehicle driving slowly up and down the street multiple times. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised they were in the area visiting a friend. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 10:35 a.m. Aug. 22 for a complaint of a dispute between a parent and child. The parties were already separated. The caller was advised to contact the department if there were any other issues.
An officer responded to Weathervane Way at 3:41 p.m. Aug. 22 for a 911 follow-up and made contact with the caller, who advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to a report of a non-injury hit skip on West Main Street at South Jefferson Avenue at 6:52 p.m. Aug. 22. The caller advised that his vehicle was struck by unsecured items, that fell off a Chevrolet Silverado truck. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

Officers were requested to assist the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office with serving a warrant on Shepper Avenue at 12:56 p.m. Aug. 21. Officers arrested Anthony Sarton, 36, of Plain City on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Willowbend Circle at 12:22 a.m. Aug. 21 for a vehicle that was parked near Willowbend Circle and West Avenue with occupants inside. The occupants advised they were dropping someone off at a nearby residence. After speaking with all parties and observing nothing out of the ordinary, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer responded to North Chillicothe Street at 7:56 p.m. Aug. 21 for a disabled vehicle at Main Street and South Chillicothe Street. The officer assisted with traffic control until the vehicle was towed from the scene.
An officer responded to Stenner Court at 9:44 a.m. Aug. 20 for a well-being check but was unable to make contact. The landlord advised he has had contact with the tenant and he is away. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers responded to suspicious circumstances on Maple Street at 11:40 p.m. Aug. 20. The caller reported hearing strange noises outside. The officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.

An officer responded to the Plain City Animal Hospital on West Main Street at 9:11 a.m. Aug. 20 for a parking complaint of a vehicle parked at the business that needed to be moved. The officer attempted contact with the vehicle owner but was unsuccessful. The business owner was advised he could have the vehicle towed.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Hospital on Village Boulevard at 11:18 a.m. Aug. 20 for a concern regarding juveniles possibly being left unattended at the pool on a previous day. An incident report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

An officer responded to Church Street at 11:47 a.m. Aug. 19 for a complaint of barking dogs. The officer attempted to make contact with the resident but was unsuccessful. A short time later, the officer patrolled the area and could no longer hear barking. A follow-up will be made with the resident.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with a registration violation on Route 161 at 7:11 p.m. Aug. 19. During the traffic stop, the officer learned the driver had a suspended license. Subsequently, Angelica Stevenson, 30, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for FRA Suspension, plates/identification mark belonging to another vehicle and no valid operator’s license. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot by Kirby’s Towing. Stevenson walked to a nearby business to wait for a ride.
Officers responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 19 for a report of a dispute between employees and customers. All parties were separated and warned for disorderly conduct. Per the request of the business, the customers were trespassed from the location.
