An officer responded to West Main Street at 2:17 a.m. Jan. 3 for numerous 911 calls received when there was no emergency. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Miller’s Furniture on South Jefferson Avenue at 6:40 a.m. Jan. 3. The officer made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:59 p.m. Jan. 3 for a report of a female wandering around the area. Contact was made with the female, who advised her dog took off running and she was looking for it. Both Madison and Union County Dog Wardens were notified.
An officer observed a vehicle parked at Plain City Ace Hardware on West Main Street at 7:54 p.m. Jan. 3, after hours. The officer made contact and was advised they were an employee of a nearby business.
Officers responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:05 p.m. Jan. 3 for a report of a possible fight. After further investigation, it was learned that it was juveniles singing loudly in their car. Due to their age, their parent was notified of the incident.
An officer observed a vehicle on the McDonald’s property on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:31 a.m. Jan. 2, after hours, made contact and advised the driver he couldn’t be on the property without permission.
Officers found a door unsecure at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:21 a.m. Jan. 2. The officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.

An officer responded to Gay Street at 7:19 a.m. Jan. 2 for a complaint of three dogs in a vehicle. Contact was made with the owner, who advised he is looking to find a home for them. A report was forwarded to the Madison County Dog Warden.
An officer responded to Perry Pike at 12:11 p.m. Jan. 2 for a 911 follow-up. The officer canvassed the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.

An officer took a report of a theft that occurred in another jurisdiction and referred the caller to the appropriate agency at 4:46 p.m. Jan. 2.
Officers responded to Gray Street at 7:22 p.m. Jan. 2 for a possible domestic dispute. After further investigation, the parties involved stated it was a verbal dispute during a custody exchange. The parties were separated.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 5:34 p.m. Jan. 1 for a report of a known subject sending unwanted messages. The subject was contacted and warned of possible consequences.
An officer observed a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on Route 161 at 3:44 p.m. Jan. 1. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed by Kirby’s Towing to their impound lot.

An officer found a door open at She Stages Columbus on North Chillicothe Street at 12:27 p.m. Dec. 31. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
Officers responded to Plain City Barbell on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:44 a.m. Dec. 31 for a report of a person possibly being under the influence. After further investigation, officers determined the subject was not impaired.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Court at 3:23 p.m. Dec. 31 for a report of a verbal dispute. The parties involved agreed to separate and remain calm.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:26 p.m. Dec. 31 for a report of possible telecommunication harassment from a known person. The message stopped and didn’t want the subject contacted but wanted the incident documented.

Officers responded to North Avenue at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 29 for a report of domestic violence. After further investigation, a juvenile was arrested and charged with domestic violence. The juvenile was transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 4:32 p.m. Dec. 28 for a report of an unruly juvenile. Officers spoke to the juvenile and advised of possible consequences.
An officer responded to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 11:15 p.m. Dec. 27 for a suspicious vehicle at the location after hours. The officer made contact with the occupant, and was advised he pulled over to use the phone.
An officer responded to Plain City Lanes on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:41 p.m. Dec. 27 for a non-injury hit-skip crash. The caller reported her vehicle was parked at the location and an unknown vehicle hit the front passenger side of her vehicle. There was no video of the incident. An incident report was taken.
An officer took possession of a package that was delivered to the wrong address on Foster Street at 6:05 p.m. Dec. 27 and turned it over to the correct person.

Officers responded to a report of several dirt bikes in the roadway and on the bike path on coachman Drive at 4:18 p.m. Dec. 25. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate anyone. The complaint was forwarded to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
An officer responded to West South Street at 9:13 p.m. Dec. 25 for a report of a non-injury hit-skip crash. The caller reported a large dent on the rear driver’s side door. There is no video of the incident. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash between two vehicles on Coachman Drive at 10:08 p.m. Dec. 24. Subsequently, Richard Izzard, 87, of Howard, was issued a citation for starting and backing.
Officers responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 8:04 p.m. Dec. 24 for a dispute between a customer and employee over the price of fuel. The customer was trespassed from the location at the business’s request.
An officer responded to Villa Drive at 1:24 p.m. Dec. 24 for a report of a canine that chased a juvenile. The officer canvassed the area but did not locate the canine.

Officers responded to Pleasant Valley Joint Fire District on West Main Street at 11:51 p.m. Dec. 21 for a behavioral health issue and the individual was transported to the hospital.

Officers responded to the Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:16 p.m. Dec. 20 for a harassment complaint. The officers made contact with the subject and advised him to have no further contact with the caller.
