An officer responded to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 1:35 p.m. Nov. 13 for a report of a neighbor dispute. All parties were advised to stay away from each other and to address the issues with the landlord.
An officer responded to South Mechanic Street at 2:27 p.m. Nov. 13 for a 911 follow-up, canvassed the area and found no one in distress or anything out of the ordinary.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 13 for a report of a neighbor dispute. All parties were advised to remain civil and to stay away from each other.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with attempting to locating a vehicle on Converse-Huff Road at 11:29 p.m. Nov. 13.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 2:41 p.m. Nov. 12 for a report of a possible domestic dispute. All parties stated it was verbal and would remain calm.

An officer observed a subject inside Clark Automotive on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:51 a.m. Nov. 10, after hours. The officer made contact and was advised he was an employee.
An officer responded to Plumwood Court at 2:14 p.m. Nov. 10 for a report of someone burning something. The officer made contact with the subject and advised him of possible consequences.
An officer responded to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 7:54 p.m. Nov. 10 for a report of a flashing strobe light coming from a residence causing a distraction to drivers. The officer canvassed the area and determined it was not a distraction.
An officer observed a vehicle in a no-parking zone on Madison Way at 8:58 p.m. Nov. 10. The officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
Officers responded to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 11:22 p.m. Nov. 10 for a report of a hit-skip crash. After further investigation, it was learned no crash had occurred. Subsequently, Mea Crawford, 20, of South Solon, was arrested and charged with falsification. She was transported to the Tri-County Jail. Rayna Smouse, 23, of Plain City, was also charged with falsification and advised of her court date.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with translation during a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 10.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 10:21 a.m. Nov. 9 for a report of a theft. After further investigation, a subject was identified and charges are pending.
An officer responded to Church Street at 12:07 p.m. Nov. 8 for a report of a suspicious white powder found. After further investigation it was determined to be baby powder.
An officer responded to Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 4:32 p.m. Nov. 8 for a report of a theft. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Carriage Drive at 6:24 p.m. Nov. 8 for a report of a possible sex offense. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer observed a vehicle illegally parked on East Main Street at 7:18 a.m. Nov. 7 and attempted contact with the owner but had to leave a message. A short time later the vehicle had been moved to a legal parking spot.
An officer took possession of a found bicycle on West Main Street at 1:04 p.m. Nov. 7.
An officer was requested for a civil standby on Fairfield Drive at 1:41 p.m. Nov. 7 while a former employee picked up his belongings.
An officer responded to Red Hen Café and Bakery on West Main Street at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 7 for a complaint of continual issues with parked vehicles blocking the alley. The caller was advised to contact the police department when it happens.
Officers responded to Lantern Lane at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 7 for a possible domestic dispute. The parties advised it was verbal and they would remain calm.
Officers responded to a non-injury crash between two vehicles at the intersection of South Jefferson Avenue and West Avenue at 8:05 a.m. Nov. 6. Subsequently, Lorene Miller, 42, of Plain City, was issued a citation for red light violation.
An officer received a report from the Union County Adult Protective Services regarding possible neglect on Anderson Avenue at 10 a.m. Nov. 6. An incident report was taken.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 3:05 p.m. Nov. 6 for a report of an unruly juvenile. The officers spoke to the juvenile and advised of possible consequences.
An officer took possession of a set of keys that was found on South Chillicothe Street at 4:12 p.m. Nov. 6. Attempts to locate the owner are being made.
An officer took possession of a found wallet on Gay Street at 4:58 p.m. Nov. 6 and returned it to the owner.
Officers responded to Gay Street at 7:19 p.m. Nov. 6 for a report of a suspicious person walking around the residence. The officers searched the area but did not locate anything or anyone out of the ordinary.
There are no reports for Nov. 5.
An officer took possession of a found handgun at Route 42 Bargains, LLC on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:42 a.m. Nov. 4. An investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to Maple Street at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 for a possible domestic violence incident. After further investigation, Kevin Kindrick, 46, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 3:01 p.m. Nov. 4 for a report of a non-injury crash on West Main Street between two vehicles. Subsequently, Kathleen Gaynor, 69, of Plain City, was cited for starting and backing.
Officers responded to West Bigelow Avenue at 8:59 p.m. Nov. 4 for a report of an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, the male would not cooperate with officers. After further investigation, it was learned the male assaulted another male, hit a parked vehicle and left the scene. Subsequently, Craig Williams, 45, of Plymouth, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a private property accident, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
Officers found a door open at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:36 a.m. Nov. 3. Officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:55 a.m. Nov. 3.
An officer responded to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 2:41 p.m. Nov. 3 for a non-injury crash on private property. The parties involved exchanged information.
Officers assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a possible domestic dispute on Route 161 at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 3.
An officer observed an RV illegally parked on Murlay Drive at 9:04 p.m. Nov. 3. The officer made contact with the owner and the RV was moved without incident.
Officers responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 9:17 p.m. Nov. 3 for a report of a female yelling. Contact was made with the subject, who advised everything was fine. She was advised to keep the noise down.
Officers assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an attempted suicide on Santa Clara Circle at 11:04 p.m. Nov. 3.
An officer responded to Marathon on West Main Street at 6:41 a.m. Nov. 2 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
Officers responded to Miller’s Furniture on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:20 p.m. Nov. 2 for an alarm drop. The officers made contact with an employee and were advised everything was fine.
An officer took possession of a found debit card at Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 2. The officer made contact with the owner, and was advised to destroy the card.
An officer responded, with Medic 261, to South Chillicothe Street at 7:33 p.m. Nov. 1 for a report of an attempted suicide. Medic 261 transported the individual.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 1 for a report of an inactive dispute. The parties stated it was a verbal dispute and advised they would remain calm.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 10:54 p.m. Nov. 1 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
