According to Plain City Police Department reports:
Officers responded to North Avenue at 6:49 a.m. Nov. 14 for a report of a possible domestic violence incident. After further investigation, a juvenile was arrested and charged with domestic violence. The juvenile was transported to Central Ohio Youth Center and released into their custody.
Officers responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:16 p.m. Nov. 14 for a report of a fight. The investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Stenner Court at 12:37 p.m. Nov. 14 for a 911 follow-up. The officer was advised it was accidental and everything was fine.
An officer was requested for a civil standby during a custody exchange at Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 3:43 p.m. Nov. 14.
An officer responded to Edgewater Place Assisted Living on Lafayette-Plain city Road at 4:09 p.m. Nov. 14 for a report of possible elder abuse. A report was taken and forwarded to Madison County Adult Protective Services.
Officers responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 14 for an alarm drop. The officers met with an employee, who advised everything was fine.
An officer found a vehicle with the rear hatch open on Smith Place at 11:07 p.m. Nov. 14. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who requested the officer close the hatch.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash on U.S. 42 near North Chillicothe Street for a vehicle that struck a deer at 5:52 a.m. Nov. 13. A crash report was taken.
An officer observed a vehicle with passenger side damage and a flat tire parked at Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 13. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who advised the officer that a friend was driving the vehicle the previous day and clipped the edge of a guardrail south of Plain City. Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 49 and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were advised of the incident.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a road hazard on Route 161 at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 13.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 12:37 p.m. Nov. 12 for a driving complaint. The officer located the vehicle and advised the driver of the complaint. The driver was reminded to obey all traffic laws.
An officer found a door unsecured at Ferguson’s Funeral Home on East Main Street at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 11. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The door was secured.
Officers responded to Church Street at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11 for a report of a possible domestic dispute. Officers learned it was a verbal dispute between family members and they agreed to remain calm.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a construction zone on Conductor Drive at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11. The officer made contact with the driver and he advised he is working on new houses.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Court at 6:57 p.m. Nov. 11 for a complaint of a loose canine. The officer took possession of the canine and a short time later returned the canine to the owner. The owner was given a verbal warning for her dog running at large.
An officer responded to Madison Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10 for a complaint of an unwanted subject periodically being at the residence. The subject will be trespassed from the residence.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 11:35 a.m. Nov. 10 for a civil dispute regarding bad diesel being sold.
An officer responded to Warbler Lane at 8:27 p.m. Nov. 10 for a 911 follow-up, was advised it was accidental and everything was fine.
An officer took possession of a driver’s license that was found on West Main Street at 1:05 p.m. Nov. 9 and it was returned to the owner.
An officer responded to a disabled vehicle on West Main Street near South Chillicothe Street at 4:56 p.m. Nov. 9. A wheel fell off and caused damage to the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the Public Works Department was notified of the damage to the roadway.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop at The Cheese House on U.S. 42 at 3:50 a.m. Nov. 8.
An officer responded to East Main Street at 1:49 p.m. Nov. 8 for a report of a possible suicide threat. After further investigation, officers learned the individual was not currently at risk of self-harm.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:25 p.m. Nov. 8 for concerns during a custody exchange.
