An officer responded to Church Street at 9:04 a.m. Nov. 20 for a report of theft of change from a parked unlocked vehicle. The officer canvassed the area for cameras but did not find any.
An officer responded to Plain City Lanes on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:46 p.m. Nov. 20 for a report of a male sitting in a parked vehicle for several hours. After further investigation, the officer learned it was a Spectrum service technician and determined everything to be fine.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle on Middleburg-Plain City Road at 5:19 p.m. Nov. 20.
An officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle on Route 161 at 7:14 p.m. Nov. 20.
An officer responded to West South Street at 11:46 p.m. Nov. 20 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer received a report of possible child abuse on East Main Street at 12:50 p.m. Nov. 19. The appropriate agency is investigating the incident.
An officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a juvenile complaint on North Avenue at 9:44 p.m. Nov. 19.
An officer responded to Red Hen Café and Bakery on West Main Street at 8:59 a.m. Nov. 18 for a parking complaint. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner and the vehicle was moved.
An officer responded to Red Hen Café and Bakery on West Main Street at 9:02 a.m. Nov. 18 for a non-injury crash on private property. An incident report was taken.
An officer took possession of a found debit card at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:55 p.m. Nov. 18. Attempts to return it to the owner are being made.
Officers responded to North Chillicothe Street at 3:17 p.m. Nov. 18 for a report of a loose dog. The officers canvassed the area but were unable to catch the dog.
Officers responded to West Main Street at 9:10 a.m. Nov. 17 for a report of an unwanted guest. After further investigation, Zackery Hume, 27, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Outdoor FX on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:58 p.m. Nov. 17 for a report of telecommunication harassment by a known subject. The subject was contacted, was advised to stop all communication and was advised of possible consequences.
An officer responded to Doe Street at 6:16 p.m. Nov. 17 for a report of theft. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to North Chillicothe Street at 9:33 p.m. Nov. 17 for a report of a loose dog. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to catch the dog.
An officer responded to Maple Street at 11:49 a.m. Nov. 16 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 6:39 p.m. Nov. 16 for a neighbor dispute and advised all parties to stay away from each other.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 6:39 p.m. Nov. 16 for a report of an unknown male on the caller’s property. The caller wanted the incident documented.
An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building at 9:21 p.m. Nov. 16.
An officer responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15 for a 911 follow-up, canvassed the area and found no one in distress.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:43 p.m. Nov. 15 for a report of a scam. The caller advised receiving calls from a police department claiming she had multiple active arrest warrants and needed to purchase money orders. She advised she did not purchase any money orders and wanted the incident documented.
An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a single-vehicle accident on Route 161 at 7:06 p.m. Nov. 15.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 8:23 p.m. Nov. 15 for a domestic dispute. All parties advised it was verbal and would separate for the night.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 9:24 p.m. Nov. 14 for a report of a verbal dispute and advised the involved parties to avoid contact with each other.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with locating a missing person on Hinton Mill Road at 7:41 p.m. Nov. 14.
