An officer responded to a parking complaint at Allstate on West Main Street at 8:09 a.m. Oct. 17 regarding a vehicle that had been parked in the same spot and hadn’t moved in a month. Attempts to make contact with the owner were unsuccessful. Kirby’s Towing arrived on scene and towed the vehicle to their impound lot.
An officer took possession of a found cell phone on Lafayette Plain City Road at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 and returned it to the owner.
An officer took possession of a found ring on Spaulding Avenue at 12:59 p.m. Oct. 16. Attempts to find the owner are being made.
An officer responded to Ferguson’s Funeral Home on East Main Street at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 for an inactive dispute between an employee and a subject. The subject was trespassed from the location.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 9:18 p.m. Oct. 15 for a well-being check, made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer observed a driver’s side door open on a parked vehicle on Warrenton Drive at 7 a.m. Oct. 15 and made contact with the owner, who advised it was left open by mistake.
Officers responded to Central Avenue at 3:49 p.m. Oct. 14 for a possible domestic dispute. The parties stated it was a verbal argument and all parties agreed to remain calm.
Officers responded to Lee’s Sports and Spirits on West Bigelow Avenue at 2:01 a.m. Oct. 14 for a report of a male refusing to leave the location. He was warned for disorderly conduct and released to a responsible party.
An officer responded to a dispute between an employer and former employee on Fairfield Drive at 1:02 p.m. Oct. 13. The parties were advised the issue was a civil matter.
An officer observed a dome light on in a parked vehicle with no one around on Willow Creek Court at 4:51 a.m. Oct. 13. Contact was made with the owner, who advised it was left on by mistake and everything was fine.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 for a report of a loose canine. Subsequently, Autumn Spencer, 39, of Plain City, was cited for dogs at large.
An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:25 p.m. Oct. 13 for a report of a canine left in a parked vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer observed the canine in a vehicle with the windows open and not in distress. Contact was made with the owner, who as advised of the complaint.
Officers responded to John Street at 5:31 p.m. Oct. 13 for a complaint of juveniles that stole a package off a front porch. The juveniles returned the package and were given a warning of possible consequences.
Officers responded to a non-injury crash at U.S. 42 South and West Avenue at 10:21 p.m. Oct. 13. Subsequently, Emma May, 19, of Plain City, was issued a citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 3:46 p.m. Oct. 13 for a 911 follow-up, made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 1:18 p.m. Oct. 12 for a report of an intoxicated individual, made contact with the subject and determined the subject was not intoxicated and was camping at the park.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 12:07 a.m. Oct. 12 for a report of loud music coming from a vehicle and canvassed the area but did not locate the vehicle or any noise violations.
An officer observed a garage door open on Warbler Lane at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 12 and attempted contact with the homeowner but was unsuccessful. Nothing appeared disturbed and a note was left.
An officer responded to Murlay Drive at 6:26 a.m. Oct. 12 for a 911 follow-up, made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Miller’s Furniture on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:28 a.m. Oct. 12 and made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Darby Station Boulevard at 11:34 p.m. Oct. 12 and made contact with the owner, who was given a warning for the violation and the vehicle was moved.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 11:34 a.m. Oct. 12 for a report of a scam. After further investigation, a scam text was received, posing as a the caller’s bank and account information was given. The caller reported he was working with his bank but wanted the incident documented.
Officers responded, with Pleasant Valley Fire District, to North Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 12 for a report of low hanging wires in the roadway. Engine 261 moved the wires from the roadway.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 7:42 p.m. Oct. 12 for a report of a verbal dispute between family members. The parties separated and agreed to stay away from each other.
An officer responded to Carlisle Gifts on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 12 for an alarm drop, made contact with an employee and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 12 for a report of a possible sick raccoon. Upon approach, the raccoon ran off and appeared to be fine.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 12:51 p.m. Oct. 11 for a report of a possible fraudulent credit card transaction. An investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 11:27 p.m. Oct. 11 for a 911 follow-up, made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 6:04 p.m. Oct. 11 for an alarm drop, found the business secured and nothing out of the ordinary. Attempts to contact a keyholder were unsuccessful.
An officer responded to Plumwood Court at 5 p.m. Oct. 11 for a complaint of identity fraud. The caller advised that an unknown subject attempted to open an Ohio ID account in her name. She was asked to file a report of identity theft through the Federal Trade Commission and referred to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 1:09 p.m. Oct. 11 for a report of fictitious money that was given to the business on a previous date. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 2:58 p.m. Oct. 10 for a report of a vehicle that passed a stopped bus with its red lights flashing. The officer canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect vehicle.
An officer found a door unsecure at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 1 a.m. Oct. 9 and searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 North at 11:51 p.m. Oct. 8 for a report of a vehicle unable to maintain lanes. Contact was made with the driver and it was determined the driver was not impaired.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with a burnt out headlight and expired tags on U.S. 42, near North Chillicothe Street at 12:37 a.m. Oct. 8. Subsequently, Jacob Mowell, 22, of Hilliard, was issued a citation for expired tags and one headlight. He was released to a family member and the vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
An officer responded to Plain City Animal Hospital on West Bigelow Avenue at 8:46 a.m. Oct. 7 for a parking complaint, made contact with the vehicle owners and the vehicles were moved a short time later.
An officer found a door unsecure at The Ball House on West Bigelow Avenue at 12:26 a.m. Oct. 7, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
Officers responded to Gay Street at 3:17 a.m. Oct. 7 for a possible domestic dispute. Parties stated it was a verbal argument and all parties agreed to remain calm.
An officer removed tree branches that were laying in the roadway on North Chillicothe Street at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 7.
Officers were requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a suspicious person on Jericho Way at 6:32 p.m. Oct. 7.
An officer observed a vehicle parked at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:49 a.m. Oct. 7, after hours, and made contact with the driver and advised he was not allowed on the property without permission.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 10:56 a.m. Oct. 7 for a report of a loose canine. Subsequently, Lourdes Morales Magana, 43, of Plain City, was cited for dogs at large.
An officer responded to the West South Street Apartments on West South Street at 9:14 a.m. Oct. 6 for a parking complaint regarding an unknown vehicle parked in a space reserved for tenants. The caller was advised to display proper signage for designated spots and called a tow company to remove the vehicle.
An officer assisted Medic 261 with an unresponsive male on East Main Street at 2:59 a.m. Oct. 6.
An officer responded to Hundley Court at 2:19 p.m. Oct. 6 for a report of a scam. The caller reported an instance of receiving a call from someone posing as the US Marshal’s Office, requesting her to purchase gift cards. No personal information or gift cards were given and the caller wanted the incident documented.
An officer observed a large amount of glass in the roadway on Cooper Lane at 1:29 a.m. Oct. 6 and removed it. The area was canvassed but nothing out of the ordinary was found.
An officer found a door unsecured at She Dreams Again on West Main Street at 4:11 a.m. Oct. 5 and searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:26 p.m. Oct. 5 for an alarm drop, made contact with an employee and was advised everything was fine.
Officers responded, with Medic 261, to South Chillicothe Street at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 5 for a report of an attempted suicide. Medic 261 transported the individual.
An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with multiple marked lane violations on Lafayette Plain City Road at 5:09 p.m. Oct. 5. After further investigation, Brett Lindeman, 32, of South Vienna, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in 0.212% BAC. He was later released to a family member and the vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
An officer took possession of a found credit card at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and returned it to the owner.
