According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to the Plain City Public Library on West Main Street at 9:41 a.m. Jan. 25 for a report of a vehicle parked at the location for several weeks. Contact was made with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Jan. 25 for a report of a theft. An investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded, along with Medic 261, to South Chillicothe Street at 7:19 p.m. Jan. 25 for a report of a suicide threat. The individual was transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:26 p.m. Jan. 25 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Drive at 11:31 a.m. Jan. 24 for a report of a possible burglary and found the residence secure. The information was relayed to the homeowners.
Officers responded to South Jefferson Avenue at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 24 for a disabled semi blocking the roadway and stood by until it was towed from the scene.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 8:23 p.m. Jan. 24 for a report of a juvenile on a bicycle not obeying traffic laws. Contact was made with the juvenile and his parents, who were advised of the complaints. Officers advised the juvenile needed to follow all traffic laws if riding in the roadway.
An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:02 a.m. Jan. 23 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
During a traffic stop on East Main Street at 8:04 a.m. Jan. 23, officers arrested Stefan Bridges, 43, of Plain City, on an active warrant out of Madison County. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. He was also issued a citation for driving under suspension and no operator’s license.
An officer responded to Cooper Lane at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 23 for a report of unwanted messages being received from a known subject. Attempts are being made to contact the subject.
Officers responded to Church Street at 4:58 p.m. Jan. 22 for a report of a possible domestic dispute. After further investigation, officers learned the parties have a current protection order. Subsequently, Michael Holden, 38, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with protection order violation.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 22 for a juvenile complaint. The officer made contact with the juvenile and his father and determined everything to be fine.
Officers responded to South Jefferson Avenue at 3 p.m. Jan. 21 for a report of two dogs found and returned them to the owner.
Officers assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a possible domestic violence incident at USA Sportz LLC on Route 161 at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 21.
Officers assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with an injury crash at Holmes Lumber on Route 161 at 3:02 a.m. Jan. 20.
An officer responded to East South Street at 3:49 a.m. Jan. 20 for a parking complaint. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner and the vehicle was moved.
An officer took possession of a found wallet at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:50 p.m. Jan. 20 and it was returned to the owner.
An officer observed a Freightliner semi-tractor parked in front of Ratcliff Lane at 6:41 p.m. Jan. 19. The officer made contact with the owner and advised of the violations and the vehicle was moved.
An officer observed a work van parked in a no parking zone on Madison Way at 7:08 p.m. Jan. 19. The officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
Officers observed a door open on Melissa Drive at 11:18 p.m. Jan. 19, searched the residence with the homeowner and found nothing out of the ordinary.
Officers assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop at Darby Grace Church on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 10:19 a.m. Jan. 28.
An officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on Plain City-Georgesville Road at 1:24 a.m. Jan. 27.
An officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic violence incident at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:53 a.m. Jan. 27.
An officer responded to East West Avenue at 9:49 p.m. Jan. 27 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
Officers responded to an alarm drop on Switchback Drive at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 26. The officers made contact with the resident and were advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 4:46 a.m. Jan. 26 for a well-being check. The officers made contact and were advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to West Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 26 for a report of possible identity theft. The caller reported providing his driver’s license information to someone via social media and then realizing it was a scam. The caller was advised to file a report with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
An officer observed a vehicle at 4:56 p.m. Jan. 26 with expired registration that was been parked on the street on Nighthawk Drive for several months. Contact was made with the owner and she was advised of the parking ordinance and was requested to move the vehicle.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 26 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Lantern Lane at 6:31 p.m. Jan. 26 for a report of solicitors. The officer canvassed the area but did not locate anyone matching the description.
