According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was requested to deliver a message to a resident on Murlay Drive at 8:40 a.m. Feb. 5. The officer made contact and relayed the message.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 5 for a parking complaint. The officer made contact and the vehicle was moved.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 12:34 p.m. Feb. 5 for a report of a known subject trying to enter the residence uninvited. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Willowbend Circle at 4 p.m. Feb. 5 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to Gray Street at 7:32 p.m. Feb. 5 for a report of a loose canine in the area. Upon arrival the canine was back with the owner, who was given a verbal warning for dogs at large.
Officers responded to South Chillicothe Street at 7:49 p.m. Feb. 5 for a juvenile complaint. The officers made contact with the juvenile and his father and determined everything to be fine.
Officers responded to Plain City-Georgesville Road at 3:37 p.m. Feb. 4 for a complaint of a vehicle unable to maintain lanes. Contact was made with the driver and it was determined the driver was not impaired.
An officer was requested for a civil standby during a custody exchange on Warrenton Drive at 3:44 p.m. Feb. 4.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 11:43 a.m. Feb. 3 for a report of possible harassment and advised all parties to avoid contact with each other.
An officer was requested for a civil standby while tenants gathered personal belongings on Shepper Avenue at 1:09 p.m. Feb. 3.
An officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control on U.S. 42 at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 3.
An officer responded to Jackson Boulevard at 3:39 p.m. Feb. 3 for a report of juveniles riding dirt bikes in the roadway. All juveniles and their parents were notified of the violation and possible consequences if it continues.
An officer took possession of a found wallet at The Grainery on West Main Street at 4:38 p.m. Feb. 3 and returned it to the owner.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Lantern Lane at 6:32 p.m. Feb. 3. The officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
Officers received a report of a subject at Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 8:23 p.m. Feb. 3 utilizing campground amenities who was not staying at the campground. Contact was made with the subject, who stated she had permission by park staff. A follow up with park staff is being made.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Carlisle Gifts on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:33 p.m. Feb. 3 and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 3:51 a.m. Feb. 2 and found the building secured. A keyholder was advised and did not respond.

An officer responded to a non-injury crash between a semi pulling a flatbed trailer, with lumber hanging over the end, and a police cruiser on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:06 p.m. Feb. 2. When the semi was attempting to turn, the lumber struck the passenger side mirror of the police cruiser. OSP was called to the scene to investigate the crash and issued a citation to the driver of the semi.

An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 1 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer took possession of a found wallet on South Chillicothe Street at 8:05 a.m. Jan. 31 and made contact with the owner. The officer was advised the owner would be in to pick the wallet up.
An officer was requested for a civil standby while a tenant collected personal belongings on Shepper Avenue at 11:15 a.m. Jan. 31.
An officer responded to Country Side Road at 12:02 p.m. Jan. 31 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Guy Street at 7:54 p.m. Jan. 31 for a report of possible harassment between multiple juveniles. All parties were advised to stay away from each other and their parents were notified.
An officer responded to Darby Station Boulevard at 10:16 a.m. Jan. 30 for a 911 follow-up. The officer canvassed the area and found no one in distress.
An officer responded tp Shepper Avenue at 11:34 a.m. Jan. 29 for a report of domestic violence. After further investigation, Tina Sowards, 49, of Plain City, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
