According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to Madison Avenue at 12:36 p.m. March 26 for a complaint of a loose canine. The officer took possession of the dog and transported it back to the department. A short time later, the owner of the dog arrived to retrieve the dog. The owner was given a warning for dogs at large.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 1:44 p.m. March 26 for a possible trespassing complaint. The caller advised a known subject was on the property and she didn’t want him there. The subject was verbally warned for trespassing.
During a traffic stop at State Farm on West Main Street at 4:39 p.m. March 26, it was learned the driver was intoxicated. Subsequently, Shaun Bissel, 33, of Plain City was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, super concentration and open container. Bissel submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in 0.357% BAC. He was released to a responsible party.
An officer responded to Willowbend Circle at 6:09 a.m. March 25 for a 911 unknown. The officer made contact with several residents and searched the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
An officer responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:12 p.m. March 25 for a non-injury crash that happened on private property. The parties exchanged information and an incident report was taken.
Officers responded to wires in the roadway in the area of East South Avenue and Madison Street at 4:45 p.m. March 25. The cable wires were removed from the roadway.
Officers responded to West South Street at 6:11 p.m. March 25 for a behavioral health issue. After speaking with the individual, he was transported to the hospital.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:57 a.m. March 24.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 1:19 p.m. March 24 for a report of a vehicle driving by a residence multiple times at a low rate of speed. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.
An officer responded to Plain City Auction House on East Main Street at 3:15 p.m. March 24 for a report of a business having some items that belonged to a resident. The caller reported trying to contact the business without success and requested the officer relay a message.
Officers responded to East First Avenue at 7:39 p.m. March 24 for a possible dispute between family members. After further investigation, the parties stated it was verbal and would separate for the evening.
An officer took possession of a found credit card at Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 5:29 a.m. March 23 and it was returned to the owner.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 1:57 p.m. March 23 for a 911 follow-up, made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Village Boulevard at 2:28 p.m. March 23 for a 911 follow-up, made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer was requested to deliver a message to a resident on Surrey Court at 5:38 a.m. March 22. The officer made contact and relayed the message.
An officer responded to Edgewater Place Assisted Living on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 3:11 p.m. March 22 for a report of missing prescription medication. An investigation is ongoing.
Officers responded to an injury crash on Plain City-Georgesville Road near Converse Huff Road at 4:54 p.m. March 22. A vehicle reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign and struck an oncoming vehicle. Two parties were transported to a hospital. Subsequently, Andrew Mark, 18, of Plain City was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. Both vehicles were towed by Kirby’s Towing.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash at the intersection of West Main Street and Smith Place at 5:49 p.m. March 22. Subsequently, Todd Lampeter, 49, of Hilliard was issued a citation for starting and backing.
An officer responded to West South Street at 10:46 p.m. March 22 for a report of a parked vehicle with its rear passenger door open. Contact was made with the owner, who advised it was left open by mistake.
An officer responded to Fairfield Drive at 8:32 p.m. March 21 for a report of equipment being left on at a construction site. Contact was made with the site manager, who confirmed it was left on intentionally and everything was fine.
An officer assisted the Brown County Sheriff’s Office with a follow-up on Warrenton Drive at 10 a.m. March 21.
An officer responded to East Main Street at 1:35 p.m. March 21 for a well-being check and was advised the individual no longer resided at the residence.
An officer assisted with traffic control while construction equipment was delivered to East Main Street at 12:41 p.m. March 20.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with a suspended driver on Route 161 at 4:11 p.m. March 20. Subsequently, Mac Davidson, 37, of Milford Center was issued citations for no operator’s license and OVI refusal suspension. His vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 5:07 p.m. March 20 for a complaint of loose dogs. Upon arrival, the dogs were inside the residence. A short time later, contact was made with the owner, who advised the dogs are on leashes every time they are let out.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop on Corporate Boulevard at 8:30 p.m. March 19.
An officer took possession of a found wallet at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:10 p.m. March 19. Attempts are being made to return it to the owner.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with an expired registration at Darby Substation on West Avenue at 2:01 p.m. March 19. After further investigation, the driver had an expired driver’s license. Subsequently, Steven McIntosh, 69, of Plain City was issued citations for expired tags and no operator’s license. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.
An officer responded to North Chillicothe Street at 12:06 p.m. March 19 for a report of telecommunication harassment. The officer spoke with both parties and warned of possible consequences.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with several marked lane violations on West Main Street at 12:05 a.m. March 19. After further investigation, Marah Rice, 35, of Urbana was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OVI super concentration and marked lanes. Rice submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in a 0.185% BAC. Rice was released to a responsible party.
An officer responded to Central Avenue at 10:20 p.m. March 19 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash of a car backing into another car on North Avenue at 12:02 p.m. March 18. Subsequently, Patricia Wolfe, 76, of Plain City was issued a citation for starting and backing.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with an expired registration on Route 161 at 5:53 p.m. March 18. During the stop, it was learned that the driver, Spencer Stanley, 21, of Urbana had two confirmed warrants out of Champaign County. Subsequently, he was arrested and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. He was given a citation for expired tags.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a road hazard on Noteman Road at 5:07 p.m. March 18.
An officer responded to East West Avenue at 2:27 p.m. March 18 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer observed a parked vehicle running with the parking lights on on Gay Street at 3:54 a.m. March, and contact was made with the driver. After further investigation, Madison Morris, 25, of Urbana was arrested and charged with physical control. Morris submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in a 0.122% BAC. She was released to a family member.
An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:43 a.m. March 18.

An officer was requested for a civil standby during a custody exchange at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. March 18.
Officers responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:15 a.m. March 17 for an alarm drop. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A keyholder arrived on scene and secured the business.
An officer responded to a complaint of three loose canines on Madison Way at 9:04 p.m. March 17. Upon arrival, the owner retrieved the canines and was given a verbal warning for dogs at large.
Officers responded to Allgyer Drive at 6:40 p.m. March 17 for a neighbor complaint and determined no laws were broken.
An officer responded to West Bigelow Avenue at 5:47 p.m. March 17 for a report of a possible missing juvenile. A short time later, the juvenile returned home.
