According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to Caroline Drive at 10:38 a.m. March 19 for an alarm drop. The officer found the residence secure and relayed the findings to the homeowner.
An officer took possession of a found ID on North Chillicothe Street at 1:02 p.m. March 19. Attempts to return it to the owner are being made.
An officer responded to a disabled vehicle in the roadway and provided traffic control until the vehicle was moved from Route 161 at 1:34 p.m. March 19.
While investigating another incident, two juveniles were charged with obstruction of official business on North Chillicothe Street at 3:54 p.m. March 19. All parents were notified.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 6:02 p.m. March 19 for a possible behavioral health incident. After further investigation, everything was determined to be OK.
An officer observed a garage door open at the Plain City Service Center on West Main Street at 9:30 p.m. March 19, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A keyholder was contacted and requested the door be secured.
Officers responded to Freight Line Way at 1:05 a.m. March 19 for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. They patrolled the area but did not locate the vehicle.
An officer responded to a residential lockout on Church Street at 2:53 p.m. March 20 and assisted the residents with gaining entry to the home.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 4:34 p.m. March 20 for a solicitor complaint. Subsequently, Gabriel Wade, 20, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was issued a citation for soliciting without a permit.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 6:33 a.m. March 20 for a domestic dispute. The parties advised it was a verbal dispute and they would remain calm.
Officers assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic dispute on Smith Calhoun Road at 1:14 a.m. March 21.
An officer observed a vehicle running with no one around on Pleasant Valley Boulevard at 3:19 a.m. March 21. Contact was made with the owner and was advised he was letting his vehicle warm up.
An officer observed a loose canine on South Chillicothe Street at 8:52 a.m. March 21, assisted the owner in catching the dog and warned the owner for dogs at large.
An officer responded to Nighthawk Drive at 2:47 p.m. March 21 for a soliciting complaint. Subsequently, Troy Schroeder, 36, of Dublin, was issued a citation for soliciting without a permit.
Officers responded to an injury crash at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Route 161 between two vehicles at 3:40 p.m. March 21. Subsequently, Dakota Walborn, 18, of Irwin, was issued a citation for failure to yield when turning left.
An officer responded to East West Avenue at 6:01 p.m. March 21 for a report of a known subject using a vehicle without permission. The subject was contacted and advised of the complaint and warned of possible charges. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
Officers responded to an alarm drop at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:21 p.m. March 22. The officers made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
Officers responded, along with Medic 261, to South Chillicothe Street at 5:09 p.m. March 22 for a suicide threat. The individual was transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to Stenner Court at 4:28 a.m. March 22 for a complaint of a squirrel in the residence. The officer searched the residence but did not locate a squirrel.
An officer observed two canines running in the roadway, on South Chillicothe Street at 2:57 a.m. March 22. The officer contacted the owner and the dogs were retrieved. The owner was warned for dogs at large.
An officer observed a vehicle with minor damage to the front end parked at Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 12:06 a.m., after hours. Contact was made with an individual at a nearby campsite and he advised there was an issue with one of the wheels and he was having the vehicle towed.
Officers responded to U.S. 42 for a report of a vehicle unable to maintain lanes at 9:31 p.m. March 23. Contact was made with the driver and it was determined the driver was not impaired.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with translation during a traffic stop on U.S. 33 at 9 p.m. March 23.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 at 3:53 p.m. March 23 for a complaint of a juvenile calling 911 for non-emergency questions. Contact was made with the juvenile and his parents and he was warned for misuse of 911.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 2:23 p.m. March 23 for a loose dog complaint. After further investigation, Lourdes Morales Magana, 43, of Plain City, was charged with dogs at large.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop at Associated Graphics on Heritage Drive at 3:03 a.m. March 23.
An officer found a gate unsecure at the Plain City Aquatic Center on West Second Avenue at 12:52 a.m. March 23. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The gate was secured.
Officers responded to Converse Avenue at 2:30 a.m. March 24 for an alarm drop. The officers made contact with the homeowner and was advised it was accidental.
An officer found a door unsecure at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:14 a.m. March. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
Officers responded to an alarm drop on Melissa Drive at 8:46 p.m. March 25. The officers made contact with the homeowner and was advised it was accidental.
Officers responded to Fairfield Drive at 8:32 p.m. March 25 for a report of someone attempting to gain entry to a home. Upon arrival, officers searched the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
Officers responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 6:25 p.m. March 25 for a report of a four wheeler that was being driven around the park. Subsequently, a juvenile was cited for driving a four wheeler on the roadway.
An officer responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:29 p.m. March 25 for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the subject had left the store. The officer patrolled the area but did not locate the subject.
An officer responded to Weathervane Way at 12:15 p.m. March 25 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with no taillights on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:11 p.m. March 27. After further investigation, Juan Perez, 18, of Canal Winchester, was issued citations for no taillights and no operator’s license. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
An officer took possession of a found purse on South Jefferson Avenue at 6 p.m. March 27 and returned it to the owner.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 for a complaint of a vehicle speeding. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was advised to the complaint and was warned for speeding.
An officer responded to Route 42 Bargains on South Jefferson Avenue at noon March 27 for a trespassing complaint. The officer made contact with the subjects and they were warned for trespassing.
An officer observed a parked vehicle with several occupants inside on Nighthawk Drive at 3:35 a.m. March 27. After further investigation, officers learned one was a juvenile and she was warned for curfew. Her parents were notified.
An officer received a report from the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services regarding possible drug use on Jackson Street at 1:40 p.m. March 28. An incident report was taken.
During a traffic stop on West Main Street at 12:03 a.m. March 28, officers arrested Cymphyne Murray, 36, of Columbus, on an active warrant out of Franklin County. She was released to a Franklin County Sheriff deputy. She was also issued citations for one headlight, failure to reinstate and no driver’s license.
An officer responded to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:20 p.m. March 29 for a report of a pickup trucking pulling another vehicle. The officer followed the pickup truck to the residence.
An officer responded to Carlisle Gifts on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:51 p.m. March 29 for an alarm drop and found all doors secured. Contact was made with the manager.
An officer took possession of a found wallet on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 2:29 p.m. March 29, contacted the owner and advised them how to claim the wallet.
An officer assisted a resident with removing a deceased snake from her driveway on South Chillicothe Street at 12:01 p.m. March 29.
An officer took possession of found drug paraphernalia on East First Avenue at noon March 29 and entered into evidence to be destroyed.
