An officer observed a vehicle illegally parked on Alderwood Circle at 9:25 a.m. April 8. The officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash between two vehicles on Hofbauer Road at 11:15 a.m. April 8. Both parties exchanged information.
Officers responded to West Avenue at 5:45 p.m. April 8 for a report of a stolen vehicle towing a flatbed trailer with a lawnmower on it. A short time later, officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Subsequently, Derek Moore, 39, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle. He also had a confirmed warrant out of Union County and several driving suspensions. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. The vehicle was released to the owner.
Officers responded to U.S. 42 at 11:58 p.m. April 8 for a report of a vehicle unable to maintain lanes. Contact was made with driver and it was determined that he was not impaired.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Drive at 2:13 p.m. April 7 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
Officers responded to the Plain City Public Library on West Main Street at 3:15 p.m. April 7 for an alarm drop. The officer found a door open, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A keyholder arrived on scene and secured the building.
An officer responded to Dogwood Court at 5:32 p.m. April 7 for a complaint of harassment by a known subject. The caller didn’t want the subject contacted but wanted the incident documented. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 11:48 a.m. April 6 for a report of a possible failure to pay. After further investigation, it was determined that an employee made an error.
An officer responded to Jackson Boulevard at 1:08 p.m. April 6 for a loose canine complaint. Upon arrival, the owner had retrieved the canine and he was given a warning for dogs at large.
An officer responded to Maple Street at 7:42 p.m. April 6 for a report of a garage door being hit by a vehicle and an incident report was taken.

An officer observed a parked vehicle on the property at Brick House Blue on South Chillicothe Street at 12:23 a.m. April 4, after hours. The officer made contact and advised the male he couldn’t be on the property without permission.
A traffic stop was initiated on U.S. 42 at 3:05 p.m. April 4 for a vehicle that the registration did not return to the appropriate vehicle. After further investigation, the driver, Sandro Blacas-Cruz, 42, of Columbus, did not have a valid license and was under FRA suspension. Subsequenlty, the driver was cited for no valid operator’s license and FRA suspension. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
An officer observed a vehicle parked at Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:22 a.m. April 3, after hours. The officer made contact with the driver and advised him he couldn’t be on the property without permission.
An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 7:36 p.m. April 3 for a report of a domestic dispute. The parties stated it was a verbal dispute and agreed to separate.
An officer responded to Ratcliff Lane at 8:17 p.m. April 3 for an occupied parked vehicle that had been parked in the same spot for a few hours. Contact was made with the occupants and they advised they lived nearby.
Officers responded to Dogwood Court at 11:10 a.m. April 2 for a report of disorderly conduct. After further investigation, a male juvenile, 17, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and was transported to COYC.
Officers responded to the Plain City Public Library on West Main Street at 6:21 p.m. April 2 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 8:50 p.m. April 2 for a domestic violence incident. After further investigation, a male juvenile, 15, was arrested and charged with domestic violence and was transported to COYC.

An officer responded to South Chillicothe Street at 7:11 p.m. April 1 for a report of a domestic dispute between family members. All parties stated it was verbal and they would separate and remain calm for the evening.
An officer responded to Coachman Drive at 7:30 p.m. April 1 for a report of a non-injury crash between a truck and a parked vehicle. Subsequently, David Adkins, 51, of Plain City, was issued a citation for reasonable control.
An officer responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:37 p.m. April 1 for a report of an male making inappropriate comments to customers. Upon arrival, the officer learned the male had left the area and the business wanted the male trespassed from the location. After further investigation, the male was located and trespassed from the location. While speaking with witnesses, it was learned one witness had a confirmed warrant out of Union County. Subsequently, Roberto Flores, 50, of Plain City, was arrested and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

An officer responded to St. Joseph’s Parrish Activity Center on West Main Street at 11:14 p.m. March 30 for a suspicious person. The officer made contact and was advised he was getting things ready for church service.

An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:04 a.m. March 31. After further investigation, Colin Smith, 38, of Dublin, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He refused the BAC test. He was given citations for speed and OVI. He was released to a family member.
An officer took possession of a found out-of-state driver’s license at the Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 12:45 p.m. March 18. Attempts to return it to the owner are being made.
