According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to East Main Street at 1:10 p.m. April 16 for a solicitor complaint. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate anyone.
The officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic dispute on Robinson Road at 12:37 p.m. April 16.
Officers responded to Madison Way at 4:16 a.m. April 16 for an intoxicated person. Upon arrival, officers attempted to get the subject into the residence but he wouldn’t comply and was resisting. Subsequently, Michael Nichols, 33, of Findlay, was arrested and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 12:01 a.m. April 16 for a driving and parking complaint. A vehicle was driving erratically and then pulled over and parked. After further investigation, David Shaull, 55, of Galloway, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, super concentration, no valid operator’s license, failure to reinstate suspension and open container. He submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in a 0.259% BAC. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
Officers responded to ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:17 p.m. April 16 for an alarm drop and found the building secured. A keyholder was contacted.
An officer found a light pole had fallen down and wires were exposed on Conductor Drive at 3:23 a.m. April 15. Attempts are being made to contact the construction company.
Officers responded to Ratcliff Lane at 9:15 p.m. April 15 for a report of a possible burglary in progress. After further investigation, officers learned that juveniles were ding-dong ditching several houses. The juveniles were warned for disorderly conduct and their parents were notified.
Officers responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:55 p.m. April 15 for a noise complaint. Contact was made with the caller, who advised the music had since been turned down and just wanted the incident documented. Officers advised if the music got loud again to contact the police department.
Officers were requested to assist the Marysville Police Department with a K9 assist on U.S. 33 at 5:23 p.m. April 15. K9 Andor completed an open-air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for narcotics.
An officer responded to Fairfield Drive at 1:13 p.m. April 15 for a complaint of loud music. The officer notified the residents of the violation and the music was turned down.
Officers responded West Main Street at 6:03 a.m. April 15 for a behavioral health issue. After speaking with the individual, he was transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to Plain City Animal Hospital on West Bigelow Avenue at 9:18 a.m. April 15 for a parking complaint. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner and the vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers observed two subjects who were visibly intoxicated in front of Lee’s Sports and Spirits on West Bigelow Avenue at 12:07 a.m. April 14. Contact was made and they advised they were in a verbal dispute with each other. The parties were advised of possible consequences. A family member picked them up.
An officer responded to Country Place Lane at 11:31 p.m. April 14 for a report of red lights hovering above a residence. The officer canvassed the area and did not find anything out of the ordinary.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 10 p.m. April 14 for a report of a missing juvenile. A short time later the juvenile was located.
An officer responded to Cooper Lane at 1:16 p.m. April 14 for a report of debris blowing into the caller’s yard from the neighbor mowing. The officer made contact with the neighbor, who advised he would face the opposite direction when mowing.
An officer was requested for a civil standby on North Avenue at 11:08 a.m. April 14 while a tenant gathered their property.
An officer responded to Memorial Family Medicine on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:29 a.m. April 14 for a report of a vehicle parked at the location for several minutes. The officer made contact with the driver. After further investigation, the officer learned the driver was there for an appointment.
An officer found a parked vehicle with the exterior lights on, on Stenner Court at 1:46 a.m. April 14. Attempts were made to contact the vehicle owner but were unsuccessful.
Officers found a door unsecure on West Main Street at 12:40 a.m. April 14. The officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A keyholder was contacted and the door was secured.
An officer found an interior light on in a parked vehicle on Red Knot Court at 1:04 a.m. April 13. The officer made contact with the owner, who advised it was left on by accident.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in front of a driveway with a subject inside on Nighthawk Drive at 2:43 a.m. April 13. After further investigation, officers learned the vehicle was reported stolen. During a probable cause search, a stolen gun was found. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot. The subject, John Zakayo, 25, whose address is unknown, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 11:20 a.m. April 13 for a theft report. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Willow Creek Court at 12:53 p.m. April 13 for a complaint of a solicitor. Subsequently, Jaronna Ellis, 30, of Columbus, was issued a citation for soliciting without a permit.

An officer responded to Coachman Drive at 10:12 p.m. April 13 for a report of a suicide threat. After further investigation, officers determined the individual was not currently at risk of self-harm.
An officer found a gate open at Plain City Storage on Central Avenue at 3:06 a.m. April 12. The officer attempted to close it but it was stuck open. The Public Works department was notified.
Officers found doors open at a vacant building on South Chillicothe Street at 4:09 a.m. April 12. The officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 8:06 a.m. April 12 for a 911 follow-up and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:40 p.m. April 12 for a complaint of an unruly juvenile. After speaking with the juvenile, the officer advised of possible consequences.
Officers responded with Medic 261 to a report of a suicide threat on North Avenue at 6:57 p.m. April 12. Medic 261 transported the individual and a CIT referral was made.
An officer responded to an injury crash on South Jefferson Avenue and Perry Pike at 7:24 a.m. April 11. Subsequently, a juvenile was issued citations for failure to stop at a red light and juvenile traffic offender. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 2:33 p.m. April 11 for a well-being check and was advised everything was fine.
Officers responded with Medic 261 to Maple Street at 8:03 p.m. April 11 for a medical alarm and were advised it was accidental.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for marked lanes violations on South Chillicothe Street at 8:10 p.m. April 11. Upon approach officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After further investigation, Cameron Hall, 18, of Columbus was charged with possession of marijuana, marijuana drug paraphernalia, open container and marked lanes.
An officer found a parked vehicle with the taillights on at ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 11:41 p.m. April 11. After further investigation, officers learned the vehicle was locked and nothing was out of the ordinary.
An officer observed an open garage door on Country Place Lane at 2:28 a.m. April 10. The officer made contact with the resident, who advised it was left open by mistake.
An officer responded to East First Avenue at 11:52 a.m. April 10 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with multiple traffic violations on West Avenue at 1:07 p.m. April 10. During the stop, it was learned that Juan Carlos Matute, 45, of Columbus had a confirmed warrant out of Muskingum County. Subsequently, he was arrested and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. He was given citation for no operator’s license, turn signal and stop sign.
An officer responded to Surrey Court at 2:55 p.m. April 10 for a trespassing complaint. The caller advised he did not want a known subject on his property. The officer advised the individual to contact the police department if the subject returns.
An officer responded to a complaint of an unruly juvenile on South Chillicothe Street at 3:05 p.m. April 10. After further investigation, the juvenile was charged with unruly.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 3:29 p.m. April 10 for a well-being check. The officer made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer received a report of possible child abuse on Willowbrook Court at 4:40 p.m. April 10. The appropriate agency is investigating the incident.

An officer was requested for a civil standby during a custody exchange at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 7:30 p.m. April 10.
An officer responded to Nighthawk Drive at 8:08 p.m. April 10 for a complaint of identity fraud. The caller advised that an unknown subject opened a bank account in her name. She advised she is already working with the bank and wanted the incident documented. An incident report was taken.
