An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a driving complaint on Route 161 at 7:23 a.m. April 4.
An officer responded to the area of Madison Way on a report of a suspicious person at 7:37 a.m. April 4. The officer canvassed the area but found nothing out of the ordinary.
Officers responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:09 p.m. April 4 for a report of an intoxicated female walking in the area. The officer canvassed the area but did not locate anyone.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 at 9:30 p.m. April 4 for a driving complaint near Alcott Avenue. The officer followed the vehicle and did not observe any violations.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 10:45 p.m. April 4 for a report of a barking dog. The officer made contact with the owner and advised them of the complaint. The owner was given a verbal warning.
Officers responded to an elderly male walking on West Second Avenue without proper attire for the weather at 4:45 a.m. April 3. Medic 261 was requested and transported the male to a hospital.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with expired registration on West Main Street at 6:05 p.m. April 3. Subsequently, Terrell Collins, 32, of Columbus, was issued a citation for expired tags. His vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
Officers responded to Willow Creek Court at 11:12 p.m. April 3 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with the resident, who advised it was accidental.
Officers responded to Weathervane Way at 8:31 p.m. April 2 for an open door. The officer searched the residence and found nothing out of the ordinary. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised it was left open by mistake.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with an expired registration on North Chillicothe Street at 1:14 p.m. April 2. Subsequently, Matthew Gleason, 30, of Plain City was issued a citation for expired tags. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot.
Officers responded to Middlefield Bank on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:27 p.m. April 2 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an individual, who was confirmed to be part of a cleaning crew, and determined everything was fine.
An officer responded to Lantern Lane at 6:40 a.m. April 2 for a report of a suspicious vehicle and person in the area. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. After reviewing video footage, it was determined to be a delivery driver.
An officer found a door unsecured at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:46 a.m. April 2. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
Officers responded on an open door on Maple Street at 9:35 p.m. April 2. The officer searched the residence and found nothing out of the ordinary. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised it was left open by mistake.
An officer took possession of a found purse at Pastime Park at 12:08 p.m. April 1 and it was returned to the owner.
Officers observed a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant on Coachman Drive at 9:12 p.m. April 1. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner and he was given a verbal warning for the parking violation. The vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Bluestem Lane at 8:20 p.m. April 1. The officers made contact with the owner and she was given a verbal warning for the violation. The vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers responded to Warbler Lane at 8 p.m. April 1 for a report of juveniles ringing doorbells and then running off. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the juveniles.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 3:07 p.m. April 1 for a report of a verbal dispute that happened the previous day. The caller advised that she was in a verbal argument with a family member and wanted the incident documented. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 1:09 p.m. April 1 for a trespassing complaint. The officer made contact with the subject and she was advised she is trespassed from the premises.
An officer responded to Lafayette Plain City Road at 1:13 a.m. April 1 for a suspicious vehicle. The officer made contact with the driver, who stated he was lost. The officer provided the driver with directions.
An officer assisted an employee, who was locked out, with gaining access to Edgewater Place Assisted Living on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 12:35 a.m. April 1.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 12:08 a.m. April 1 for a trespassing complaint. The caller advised a known subject and an employee got into an argument and wanted the subject trespassed from the business for 30 days. Contact was made with the subject and her guardian and notified she was not permitted on the property for 30 days.
An officer responded to South Jefferson Avenue near Perry Pike regarding street signage in the roadway at 2:06 p.m. April 1. The signs were removed.
During a traffic stop on Conductor Drive at 12:07 a.m. March 31, it was learned the driver was intoxicated. Subsequently, John Barrett, 61, of Dublin was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Barrett submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in 0.215%. He was also given a citation for no turn signal. He was released to a responsible party.
An officer responded to an injury crash at the intersection of West Main Street and U.S. 42 at 8:44 p.m. March 31. Subsequently, Byron Husband, 60, of Plain City was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead.
Officers responded to Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 10:23 a.m. March 31 for an alarm drop and was advised it was accidental.

An officer responded to Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 8:40 a.m. March 30 for a parking violation complaint. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner and warned her for the violation.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 6:15 p.m. March 30 for a complaint of a loose canine. Upon arrival, the owner retrieved the canine and was warned of possible consequences if it continues.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 6:38 p.m. March 30 for a criminal damaging complaint. The caller reported that her neighbor poured bleach on her flowers and she has it on video. After further investigation, Lisa Weber, 62, of Plain City was charged with criminal damaging.
An officer found a door open at a vacant building on West Main Street at 12:34 a.m. March 29. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door secured.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop on Rausch Drive at 3:52 a.m. March 29.
An officer responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 11:29 a.m. March 29 for a report of a possible suspicious transaction. The caller reported that a subject attempted to buy a $200 gift card but the system declined the transaction and the male left the premises.
An officer responded to Converse Avenue at 1:02 p.m. March 29 for a report of barking and loose dogs that happened a few days prior. Contact was made with the dog owner and she was advised of possible consequences if it happens again. The report was forwarded to the Union County Dog Warden due to the dogs not being registered.
An officer responded to a neighbor dispute on East First Avenue at 2:25 p.m. March 29. All parties were advised to stay away from each other.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 4:36 p.m. March 29 for a report of found prescription bottles laying in the street. The officer took possession and made contact with the person and advised him of the proper way to dispose of medication.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash on South Jefferson Avenue at West Main Street between a vehicle and a semi-truck at 4:54 p.m. March 29. Subsequently, Alahna Levasseur was issued a citation for marked lanes.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for a registration violation on Perry Pike at 5:38 p.m. March 29. During a probable cause search, multiple THC cartridges were located. Subsequently, Devyn Reed, 25, of Marysville was charged with possession of drugs and issued a citation for failure to transfer the registration.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 8:22 p.m. March 29 for a parking complaint of a black box trailer parked on the cement bump out. Contact was made with the driver and the vehicle was moved.

An officer responded to Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 11:07 a.m. March 28 for a report of a possible suspicious transaction. The caller reported that a subject attempted to buy a $500 Visa gift card, but the system declined the transaction and the male left the premises.
An officer responded to West Avenue at 2:49 p.m. March 28 for a report of a disabled vehicle with two flat tires, partially blocking the westbound lane of West Avenue. A short time later, a tow truck arrived on scene and removed the vehicle from the roadway.
Officers arrested Edwin A. Avery, 21, of Columbus on multiple active warrants at Plain City Druggist on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:27 p.m. March 28. Initially, Avery provided a false identity to officers. Subsequently, he was placed into custody for multiple warrants and charged with falsification. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Officers responded to South Jefferson Avenue at 9:13 p.m. March 28 for a report of a subject screaming for help. The officer they searched the area but did not locate anyone in distress.
Officers responded to Plain City Lanes on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:15 p.m. March 28 for a report of a subject screaming for help. The officer searched the area and business and did not locate anyone in distress.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 10 a.m. March 27 for a report of a possible sex offense. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Carlisle Gifts on South Jefferson Avenue at 10:38 a.m. March 27 for a report of a returned non-sufficient funds check. The officer contacted the subject and advised she needed to pay restitution or she could be charged with passing back checks. Additional follow-up will be done.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 2:14 p.m. March 27 for a neighbor dispute in regard to a parking complaint. The vehicle was moved and parties were advised to stay away from each other.
An officer responded to Plain City Druggist on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:58 p.m. March 27 for report of a male possibly receiving a prescription medication by deception. An investigation is ongoing.
