According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 6:13 p.m. Sept. 11 for a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence. Contact was made with the driver, who advised he was staying at the residence.
An officer responded to the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 1:40 p.m. Sept. 11 for a report of a found credit card. The officer took possession of the card. Contact was made with the owner, who advised he would be in to get the card.
Officers arrested Joshua Hostetler, 33, of Plain City, on multiple outstanding arrest warrants at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 10 a.m. Sept. 11. During the arrest, Hostetler reportedly admitted to having drugs in the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers located two clear baggies with a substance inside. Additional charges are possible, pending lab analysis. Hostetler was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:28 a.m. Sept. 11 for a report of a found credit card. The officer took possession of the card. Contact was made with the owner, who later came to the police department and retrieved it.
An officer observed a vehicle parked at Pastime Park at 2:25 a.m. Sept. 11 after hours and made contact with the occupant. The occupant was advised he couldn’t be there after hours.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 7:32 p.m. Sept. 11.
An officer responded to Smucker Lane at 8:25 a.m. Sept. 10 for a vandalism complaint regarding four tires that were slashed on a parked vehicle by an unknown subject. The area was checked for cameras, however, none were located. An incident report was taken.
An officer responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 10 for a noise complaint of loud music and determined the music was not excessive.
An officer responded to Dry Street at 9:13 a.m. Sept. 10 for a report of a suspicious vehicle that drove through a yard the evening prior, however, did not cause any damage. A vehicle description and license plate number was given and the vehicle was located. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who advised it was accidental and he was given a warning for driving upon sidewalks, street lawns and curbs.
An officer responded to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 10 for a report of a found credit card. The officer took possession of the credit card and returned it to the owner.
An officer responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 12:09 a.m. Sept. 10 for a complaint of an intoxicated individual operating a power lift near a construction site. After further investigation, Blake Robertson, 21, of Hilliard, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
An officer responded to Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:01 p.m. Sept. 10 for a 911 follow-up and was advised everything was fine.
An officer found a door at McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:06 a.m. Sept. 9 unsecured, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The door was secured and a note was left.
Officers responded to The Grainery on West Main Street at 7:41 p.m. Sept. 9 for a noise complaint of loud music and determined the music was not excessive.
An officer responded to Buckeye Forklift and Equipment on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:29 p.m. Sept. 9 for a complaint of possible theft of equipment that was never returned. Contact was made with the customer, who then returned the piece of equipment.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 10:37 a.m. Sept. 9 for a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. Contact was attempted with the vehicle owner but was unsuccessful. Kirby’s Towing arrived on scene and towed the vehicle.
An officer found a door unsecured at Outdoor FX on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
An officer responded to Abby Drive at 9:05 a.m. Sept. 8 for a 911 follow-up. The officer was unable to locate the individual, canvassed the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
An officer was requested to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop at Plain City Lanes on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:04 p.m. Sept. 8.
An officer observed a child at Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8 walking without shoes. The officer conducted a well-being check with the child and parent and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to Country Meadow Lane at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 8 for a scam complaint. The caller advised she thought she was communicating with a business and gave the individual personal bank information. She is working with the bank and wanted the incident to be documented by PCPD.
An officer responded to the Plain City Animal Hospital on West Bigelow Avenue at 7:17 p.m. Sept. 8 for a canine running loose. Upon arrival, the owner was on scene to retrieve the animal.
Officers responded to McDonald’s on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:22 p.m. Sept. 8 for an individual who possibly needed assistance getting out of town. After meeting with the individual, officers learned that he needed a ride. A deputy with Union County Sheriff’s Office transported the individual.
Officers responded to Church Street at 8:10 p.m. Sept. 8 for a possible domestic dispute between family members. The parties were calm when the officers arrived and agreed to remain civil.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle with expired registration on East Main Street at 10:58 p.m. Sept. 8. The driver was given a verbal warning for the registration violation.
An officer found a door at Buckeye Brass and Winds on North Chillicothe Street unsecure, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A note was left and the door was secured.
Officers responded to Stenner Court at 5:29 p.m. Sept. 7 for an animal complaint and provided assistance.
An officer responded to Madison Way at 7:35 p.m. Sept. 7 for a report of a sick person. Medic 261 was requested and arrived on scene a short time later.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 9:44 p.m. Sept. 7 for a report of a dispute between a customer and an employee. Upon arrival, the customer had already left the location. The officer attempted to contact the customer but was unsuccessful.
