According to police reports:
Hunter Michael Hott, 30, of 18579 Easton Road, was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash at 3:14 p.m., Sunday. Hott was driving a 2001 Honda Civic on U.S. 36 at Square Drive, and ran into the rear of a 2021 Hyundai Kona.
At 4:09 p.m., Sunday, police responded to a hit and run crash after an unknown vehicle sideswiped a parked, 2022 Ford Bronco on Fifth Street near Olive Street.
Police responded to a lost property call at 11:11 a.m., Monday at a home in the 800 block of Summers Run in Marysville. The case was closed.
Police were called to a park in the 400 block of East Ninth Street at 3:43 p.m., Monday on a disorderly conduct call. The matter remains under investigation.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an extortion attempt involving an internet website that was reported at 9:18 a.m., Monday, at a home in the 9000 block of State Route 736. No report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a property in the 23000 block of Route 31 at 9:54 p.m., Monday, to investigate a trespassing complaint. No report was taken.
A deputy responded to U.S. 42, north of Ravenhill Parkway, at 10:05 a.m., Monday, to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox that was hit by a mattress that fell off an unknown vehicle. The vehicle continued north on U.S. 42. A crash report was taken.
At 5:56 p.m., Monday, deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department, the Marysville Fire Department, the Pleasant Valley Fire District and the Allen Township Fire Department responded to a fire at a residence on West Center Street in Milford Center. No report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 18000 block of White Stone Road at 8:20 p.m., Monday, to investigate a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. No report was taken.
A Union County Deputy met with a Marion County Deputy at 9:29 p.m., Monday, to take custody of Jeremy G. Morgan, 46, of Marion, for an outstanding arrest warrant. Morgan was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
