According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were sent to a home in the 11000 block of Poppyseed Drive at 12:19 a.m., Thursday, for a residential burglary alarm. After arriving, deputies found the husband and wife to be involved in a domestic dispute. No report was taken.
A deputy on patrol stopped at 12:44 p.m., Thursday, to check a suspicious person on Industrial Parkway, east of Scottslawn Road. As a result of the investigation, it was determined the person was a juvenile who had stolen a bike from a school in Hilliard. The juvenile was returned to his parents and no report was taken.
A deputy was sent to the Delaware County Jail at 1:22 p.m., Thursday, to take custody of Rickie L. Severt Jr., 31, of Delaware, for an outstanding arrest warrant. The arrestee was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A Union County deputy met with a Franklin County deputy at 10:23 a.m., Friday, to take custody of Grant M. Sowers, 36, of Columbus, for an outstanding arrest warrant. The arrestee was transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Richwood Police Department at 4:37 p.m., Friday, to take possession of a cell phone that was found in the 13000 block of State Route 739. A report was taken.
A deputy responded to the 13000 block of Industrial Parkway at 3:31 a.m., Saturday, to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2007 Ford Focus that struck a deer. A crash report was taken.
Deputies were dispatched to home in the 10000 block of Hinton Mill Road at 8:59 a.m., Saturday, to investigate damage to a yard that was caused by a vehicle that left the scene. No report was taken.
A deputy met with a resident from the 14000 block of Hillview Road at 12:22 p.m., Saturday, to investigate harassing text messages. No report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 23000 block of Route 31 at 1:57 p.m., Saturday, to investigate a domestic dispute between a man and woman. The parties were separated and no report was taken.
At 5:48 p.m., Saturday, a deputy was sent to a property in the 11000 block of Hoskins Road to investigate a trespassing complaint involving an all-terrain vehicle. No report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a home on Fountain Avenue in Magnetic Springs at 6:08 p.m., Saturday, to resolve a dispute over ownership of a dog. No report was taken.
Audrey M. Jurcich, 21, of Powell, was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead at 11:13 p.m., Saturday. Jurcich was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion on Route 161 at the US Route 33 westbound off when she hit the back of a 2022 Ford Bronco.
Kelly J. Crawford, 43, of Maryland, was arrested for receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, operating a vehicle while under the influence and driving without a license. Matthew R. Banas, 34, of Indiana, was arrested for receiving stolen property. At 12:05 a.m., Sunday, a deputy attempted to stop a 2000 Dodge Ram truck on U.S. 33 near Paver Barnes Road for driving 103 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone. Crawford, the driver, did not stop and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle eventually stopped on U.S. 33 near Northwest Parkway. As a result of the investigation, the truck was determined to have been stolen in Bluffton, Indiana. Banas was a passenger in the vehicle. Both arrestees were taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail and a report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a home in the 23000 block of Davis Road at 1:08 a.m., Sunday, to investigate the theft of a .22 caliber rifle. A report was taken.
At 4:55 a.m., Sunday, deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District, the Marysville Fire Department, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to Route 31 near Cotton Slash Road for a property damage crash involving a vehicle that drove off the road and struck a utility pole. The State Patrol investigated the crash.
Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District responded to a home in the 23000 block of Route 4 at 3:30 p.m., for a domestic argument between a mother and daughter. One person was transported to Memorial Hospital and no report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 7500 block of Greenridge Loop at 5:24 p.m., Sunday, to resolve a neighbor dispute over a noise complaint. No report was taken.
