From Marysville Division of Police Reports:
Alan D. Menard, 59, of 281 W. Ninth St, was charged with a violation of starting and backing laws after a two-vehicle crash at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday. Menard was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan when he backed out of the driveway at 614 W. Fifth St. As he was backing out, he backed into a 2020 Dodge Charger parked on the other side of Fifth Street. Both vehicles received minor damage.
Police responded to a business in the 700 block of South Walnut Street at 4:09 p.m., Wednesday, on a suspicious conditions complaint. An investigation is pending.
From Union County Sheriff’s Office Reports:
Deputies were sent to a home in the 26000 block of Ford Reed Road at 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, to investigate a domestic dispute between a man and woman. The parties were separated. No report was taken. Russell L. Stroud, 35, of Wapakoneta, was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead following a crash at 7:53 a.m., Wednesday. Stroud was driving a 2017 Honda Accord on U.S. 33 near Route 161 when he hit the back end of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Deputies responded to the scene to investigate. A crash report was taken.
Brittany M. Davie, 35, of Bellefontaine, was issued a traffic citation for failure to control at 8:45 a.m., Wednesday. Davie was driving a 2018 Dodge Journey in the 11000 block of Route 736 when she drove off the road, struck a mailbox then a utility pole and a fence. A crash report was taken.
A deputy met with a resident of the 16000 block of Allen Center Road at 12:04 p.m., Wednesday, to take possession of an I-Pad computer that was found in a yard. A report was taken.
At 1:17 p.m., a deputy met with a resident from the 31000 block of Winnemac Road to investigate an extortion attempt involving a social media app. No report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a property in the 20000 block of Route 739 at 3:26 p.m., Wednesday, to investigate a trespassing complaint involving two neighbors. No report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a home in the 34000 block of Dutton Love Road at 3:33 p.m., Wednesday, to investigate potential identity theft involving fraudulently obtained utility accounts in the State of Florida. A report was taken.
Deputies were called to a home in the 21000 block of Route 739 to investigate a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at 4:37 p.m., Wednesday. The parties were separated. No report was taken.
A deputy was sent to the Montgomery County Jail at 7:08 p.m., Wednesday, to take custody of Lawrence R. Zumbrun, 41, of Marysville, for an outstanding arrest warrant. Zumbrun was taken to Tri-County Regional Jail.
Markus A. Williams, 37, Hilary A. Haines, 32, and Zachary A. Davis, 43, all of Columbus were arrested following a traffic stop at 10:40 p.m., Wednesday, in the 10000 block of Route 42. Davis was driving the vehicle and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also issued traffic citations for driving under suspension, failure to register, operating a vehicle with fictitious license plates and improper display of a license plate. Davis was taken to Tri-County Regional Jail. Williams, an occupant in the car, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the City of Reynoldsburg. He was turned over to a Reynoldsburg Police Officer. Haines, also an occupant in the vehicle, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A report was taken.
