According to police reports:
Police responded at 1:51 p.m., Monday to the 1900 block of Willow Run Road. The homeowner reported that at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, there was a suspicious person.
At 3:38 p.m., Monday, police responded to a business in the 600 block of Coleman’s Crossing Boulevard on the report of a dispute. The case was closed.
Police responded to a missing person call at 4:09 p.m., Monday, in the 100 block of Poplar Street. The case was closed.
Police recovered a Smith and Wesson handgun, ammunition, and other related items at 6:50 p.m., from a business in the 600 block of Coleman’s Crossing Boulevard. The case was closed.
According to sheriffs reports:
A deputy responded to the 14000 block of Maple Ridge Road at 6:44 a.m., Monday, to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2016 Ford F-150 that hit a deer. A crash report was taken.
A deputy responded to U.S. 33, west of Route 42, to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2024 Honda CR- V that hit a deer at 7:14 a.m., Monday. A crash report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a home on Cross Street in Unionville Center at 11:48 a.m., Monday, to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulently obtained credit card and mortgage loan. A report was taken.
A deputy arrested Duane A. Milby, 41, of New Lebanon, for an outstanding arrest warrant when he turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office at 11:54 a.m., Monday. He was taken to the Union County Common Pleas Court.
A deputy was sent to a home in the 11000 block of Landon Road at 2:34 p.m., Monday, to investigate an unruly juvenile complaint. No report was taken.
Gary D. Hitchings, 54, of Pataskala, was arrested at 4:21 p.m., Monday, charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence. Hitchings was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala in the 13000 block of Watkins Road when he lost control, drove off the road, struck a guardrail, a utility pole and a traffic sign. Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to the crash. Hitchings was taken to Tri-County Regional Jail. Two reports were taken.
Urvi R. Jhaveri, 51, of Dublin, was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign following a crash at 5:51 p.m., Monday. Jhaveri was driving a 2018 Honda CR-V at the intersection of Mitchell Dewitt Road and Industrial Parkway when the car was hit by a 2012 Honda Odyssey. One victim was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital and three victims were transported to Nationwide Childrens’ Hospital. The report does not detail which vehicle each patient was in. Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department, the Pleasant Valley Fire District, and the Delaware County EMS responded to the scene. A crash report was taken.
A deputy assisted a Richwood Police Officer with a person having a mental health crisis at 8:55 p.m., Monday, at a residence on East Ottawa Street in Richwood.
