From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Gildardo C. Ramirez, 55, of Columbus, was cited at 1:34 a.m., Friday, for operating a vehicle while under the influence. The citation followed a traffic stop in the 10000 block of Route 42. Ramirez was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail. A report was taken.
A deputy was sent to a construction site in the 7900 block of Canopy Glen Drive at 9:23 a.m., Friday, to investigate the theft of building materials. A report was taken.
Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District were sent to a home on Rose Street in Magnetic Springs at 11:54 a.m., Friday, for a person found deceased by a family member. The Union County Coroner was called to the scene. A report was taken.
Gary L. Forry, 76, of Morral, was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead. The citation was issued at 2:53 p.m., Friday after deputies responded to the 26000 block of Route 4 to investigate a property damage crash. Forry was driving a 2021 Toyota Venza that hit a 2020 Honda Fit. A crash report was taken.
Deputies assisted investigators from the Union County Department of Job and Family Services at 5:52 p.m., Friday, at a home in the 14000 block of Sycamore Drive.
The juvenile driver of a Toyota Scion XD was issued a traffic citation for failure to control following an injury crash on Route 161, east of Middleburg Plain City Road. At 10:07 p.m., Friday, the driver lost control of the vehicle on which hit a cement wall and rolled onto its side. Deputies and units from the Plain City Police Department and the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the scene. A crash report was taken.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department were sent to a residence in the 11000 block of Santa Barbara Drive for a person threatening self- harm. The person was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital and no report was taken.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department were sent to a home in the 11000 block of Santa Barbara Drive at 11:21 a.m., Saturday, for a person threatening self-harm. The person was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital and no report was taken.
At 4:08 p.m., Saturday, a deputy was sent to a home in the 17000 block of Cradler Turner Road to investigate a dispute between an ex-wife and an ex-husband. No report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 12000 block of Route 739 at 5:54 p.m., Saturday, to resolve a personal property dispute between a father and son. No report was taken.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 23000 block of Route 47 at 8:27 p.m., Saturday, for a person threatening self-harm. No report was taken.
Mackenzie N. Bowersock, 23, of Delaware, was issued a traffic citation for failure to control following a two-vehicle crash at 2:19 p.m., Sunday. Bowersock was driving a 2016 Ford Focus at the intersection of Route 161 and U.S. 33 when she hit the back of a 2020 Toyota Highlander. Deputies responded to the scene. A crash report was taken.
A deputy met with a Clinton Township Police Officer at 11:27 p.m., Sunday, to take custody of Chaunte L. Craig, 43, of Galloway, for an outstanding arrest warrant. Craig was taken to Tri-County Regional Jail.
