Several Monarch boys also placed in their respective weight classes.
In the boys’ 119-pound weight class, Marysville’s Griffin Beery took first place in a sudden death, 5-3 victory over Teays Valley’s Jonah Jenkins.
In the boys’ 126-pound weight class, Keegan Andrews marched his way to the finals and went on to defeat Regulators Wrestling Club’s Kobi Braden.
That victory came with a quick, 19-second pin in the first period.
Coming in second for the 6U boys’ 40-pound weight class, Marysville’s Colin Lutz fell to GGB Ohio’s Ben Meridieth by a quick first-period pin.
Marysville also had three grapplers take fifth place.
They included Oliver Waller (ages 7-8 for 67 pounds), Jackson Williams (ages 11-12 for 95 pounds) and Berkley Behrens (ages 11-12 for 105 pounds).
Marysville’s Nolan Parrish earned sixth place after falling to Benjamin Logan Youth Wrestling’s Steven Castle by a 13-2 major decision for ages 9-10 at 59 pounds.
Oliver Fox took home eighth-place honors after falling to Team Lindsey’s Demilio Stanley in a 8-6 decision for the boys’ 11-12 age group for 85 pounds.
Liam Parrish also competed in the 11-12 age group for 80 pounds, but did not place.
Fairbanks’ Wade Wiant, DeLayne Stewart, Cowan Endicott, Jase Wiant and Jackson Lopshire all competed in the tournment, but did not place.
NU’s Gavin James placed fourth for 7-8 age group for 54 pounds, falling to Brantlee Shortidge in the placement match by way of a first period pin.
Charles Oberdier eanred fifth place honors after defeating Team Hype’s King Cammon with a 5-2 decision in the 9-10 age group for 122 pounds.
Jaxson Shelton earned eighth place after falling to Miami Trace’s Ethan Johnston by a first period pin for 6U category for 43 pounds.
NU’s Gunner Tuck place eighth for the 9-10 age group at 160 pounds after falling to Seneca East’s Blaise Vanderveen by forfeit.
Wyatt Stacklin claimed seven place for the 11-12 age group for 76 pounds after defeating Hunter Lance of Clinton Massie by way of a 5-0 decision.
Jack Kemp took eighth place for the 11-12 age group after falling to Clyde Amatuer Wrestling’s Mason Holden by a second period pin.
Holden Sessier, Henry Rowe, Kyle Stacklin, Broden O-Reilly and Gabe Stump also competed but did not place.
