Publisher Kevin Behrens holds a slight lead after one week of the Pigskin Pickers.
Behrens posted a 4-0 record for the week.
Managing editor Chad Williamson, sports editor Tim Miller, reporter Mac Cordell and sports writer Sam Dillon each missed out on the Jonathan Alder-Amanda Clearcreek game.
As such, they all went 3-1.
The college schedule will get into full swing next week, so we still have a short schedule this week.
Our guest pickers are Dean Cook of Dean Cook Nationwide Insurance, Dave Laslow of Donatos Pizza, Bob VanHoose of VanHoose Garage Doors and Rob Eubanks of Eubanks Electric.

Disclaimers:
Williamson: “Really interested to see how Marysville does replacing four offensive linemen. Their line was a real strength last year so I’ll be paying a lot of attention to the cohesiveness of that unit. Either way the Monarch defense is experienced and shouldn’t give up many points, especially to a running team. I look for Jon Alder to right its ship in the second week and North Union should roll as the Wildcats look tough. We will learn a lot about Fairbanks this week.”
Miller: “Lancaster has one game up on the Monarchs this season, but MHS will prevail.”
Behrens: “Leader in the clubhouse is a good thing after week one is on the books but this is a marathon not a sprint, so let’s see how the rest of the year plays out.
Cordell: “As always, early season games are tough to call, but I have confidence in most of the local coaches. Hopefully some things are a lot clearer after week 2.”
Dillon: “North Union vs. Blanchester, not even a contest. 2-0 the Cats go.”
Cook: “Good Luck to all local teams.”
Laslow: “Good Luck to all local teams.”
Van Hoose: “Good Luck to all local teams.”
Eubanks: “Good Luck to all local teams.”
