It wasn’t a super week of selections for the Pigskin Pickers.
Publisher Kevin Behrens posted the best record at 4-2.
Everyone else was .500 or below.
Managing editor Chad Williamson, however, has regained a one-game edge on sports editor Tim Miller.
Williamson posted a 3-3 record and stands at 61-15 for the season.
Miller had an absolutely putrid week of picking. He got only two of the six games correct and is 60-16 for the year.
Reporter Mac Cordell matched Miller’s futility with a 2-4 record. However, he’s only a game behind Miller at 59-17.
Cordell, known as the falling knife has Behrens nipping at his heels at 59-17.
Sports reporter Sam Dillon broke even at 3-3. He remains in the basement at 56-20.
This week’s Pigskin Pickers will mark the first time in many, many years that a local high school football team won’t be playing in the month of November.
The state playoffs began earlier this year due to the coronavirus-shortened regular season.
Jonathan Alder and North Union were the last two local teams standing. Both were eliminated from further competition this past weekend.
Both the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals are on a bye week, so the slate features only college games.
Our guest Pickers are Dave Laslow of Burger King, Dean Cook of Dean Cook Nationwide Insurance, Bob Van Hoose of Van Hoose Garage Doors and Rob Eubanks of Eubanks Electric.

Disclaimers:
Williamson: “This college football season is such trash. Traditional powers are bad. Liberty is ranked. And Wisconsin may never play again.”
Miller: “Not much to say this week since the high school season is over.”
Behrens: “The season’s story line so far is whether defending champ Dillon will stay in the basement and have to buy pizza for the first time. Another one to watch will be how far Cordell will plummet before it’s all said and done. After all, he is known as the falling knife.”
Cordell: “If you like offense, check out the BYU/Boise State game…. And take the over. But even with a high-profile Mountain West, I can’t seem to get into football this year. Such a strange time to be in.”
Dillon: “My interest has faded away. Has hockey started yet?”
Laslow: “Go Bucks!”
Cook: “Go Bucks!”
Van Hoose: “Go Bucks!”
Eubanks: “Go Bucks!”
