North Union’s Journey Blevins poured in 25 points and climbed the boards for 17 rebounds on Wednesday.
As a result, NU’s varsity girls hoop squad got back on the winning track with a 61-48 victory at St. Paris Graham.
The Lady Cats snapped a four-game losing skid and improved their record to 2-6.
Graham held a 17-13 edge after the opening period, but NU climbed to a 33-31 margin at halftime.
North Union’s lead stood at 47-41 by the end of the third set.
Blevins was joined in double figures by Madison Amstutz and Alyssa Guy, who each tallied 10 points.
Blevins nearly outrebounded the Falcons by herself as the Lady Cats, who will travel to Elgin on Saturday, controlled the boards, 40-19.
NU’s jayvees fell, 26-20.
Brycelyn Deickert led the Jr. Lady Cats with 10 points.

Bunsold squads win
The Bunsold eighth-grade boys Blue cagers won their third game of the season with a 42-36 verdict over Delaware.
Braden Deere led the Monarchs with 14 points and Nick Wever tallied nine.
Bunsold’s Red girls squad improved to 8-0 with a 26-14 triumph over St. John’s Lutheran School.
Reagan Cotner scored 13 points and Maddie Hansen added seven for Bunsold.
