Marysville High School sports history was made on Saturday.
For the first time ever, a brother-sister pitching duo won games on the same day.
Monarch senior Jack Christian hurled the varsity baseball team to a 3-0 verdict over Watkins Memorial.
His sister, freshman Abby, took the victory in the pitching circle during a 10-0 softball triumph over New Albany.
That win was the first game of a twinbill sweep by the Lady Monarchs.
MHS took the nightcap by a 19-2 verdict.
The Lady Monarchs also tallied 12 hits during the sixth inning of the second game.
That broke the team record for the most hits in one inning.

Marysville ripped 10 hits and did not commit any fielding miscues during the opening game of the doubleheader.
MHS (2-0) led 5-0 after the third inning and added five additional runs over the fifth and six frames in invoke the run rule.
Christian allowed three New Albany hits during the first inning, but shut down the Eagles for the remainder of the contest.
She fanned five and issued a pair of free passes.
Jalynn Young hit a solo homer in the fifth inning and finished the game with four RBIs.
She had a pair of hits for the game, along with Taryn Born and Lexi Williams.
Also hitting safely were Ashley Dunn, Christian, Abby Gindlesberger and Abri Schmutz.
Born also drove in three runs.

The Lady Monarchs clubbed New Albany pitching for 22 hits during the second game.
Christian, Young, Haley Winans and Gindlesberger each notched a trio of hits.
Schmutz, Williams and Born each had two.
Born drilled a solo dinger in the fourth inning, while Young and Gindlesberger both drove in three runs.
Also hitting safely for MHS were Dunn, Brooke Willikams, Hannah Pack and Avery Henry.
Born allowed five hits, struck out 11 and didn’t walk a batter to pick up the victory.

Panthers roll to victory
Fairbanks’ baseball team opened the season on Saturday with an 11-0 verdict over River Valley.
Mason Cushman allowed just one hit and fanned six to pick up the win.
The Panthers led 4-0 after three innings and tallied seven runs in the bottom of the fourth.
The run-rule was invoked when River Valley didn’t score in the top of the fifth.
Alex Blumenschein went four-for-four at the plate for FHS.
Noah Rausch blasted a three-run homer and Nathan Combs added a solo shot.
