Bunsold Middle School edged out Northmor and Benjamin Logan to win the North Union Middle School Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday.
The Monarchs earned first-place finishes in four weight classes and finished with 252 points. Northmor totaled 241.5 points while Benjamin Logan counted 231.5.
North Union finished fourth (168), Jonathan Alder was sixth (136), Triad was ninth (100) and Fairbanks was 18th (4).
Picking up individual championships for Bunsold were Trent Sharp (116 pounds), Waylon McDaniel (142), Cameron Taylor (150) and Ricky Guerrero (245).
Triad’s Wyatt Smith took first place in the 98-pound division.
Earning second-place finishes for Bunsold were Michael Bowsher (122) and J.J. Henry (134).
North Union had a trio of second-place finishers, Kannon Alvarado (98), Ben Jones (104) and A.J. Leeson (110).
Jonathan Alder’s Nixon Baker was second at 116.
