Alder cagers split
Jonathan Alder’s cagers split contests during the two-day Tuscarawas Central Holiday Tournament.
The Pioneers fell to Huntington Prep, 46-42, on Friday.
JA led, 16-11, at halftime, but Huntington Prep outscored Alder, 23-9, during the third quarter.
Faced with a 34-25 deficit, the Pioneers battled back during the fourth set, only to fall short.

The score was deadlocked at 13-all by the end of the first quarter.
The Shamrocks tallied 28 points during the second period and held a 41-25 lead at the turn.

The Raiders held a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and expanded their advantage to 39-29 by halftime.
The Cardinals faced a 57-44 deficit by the end of the third period.
