The stalemate has been broken once more.
Sports writer Sam Dillon and publisher Kevin Behrens have been neck-and-neck for much of the Pigskin Pickers race.
Behrens was the leader in the clubhouse but after picking some long shots that didn’t pan out Dillon was able to climb back in to a one-game edge a couple of weeks ago, only to see Behrens tie him for the top.
The deadlock has once again been broken.
Dillon posted a 5-2 record last week and stands atop of the Pickers with a season mark of 88-32.
There is now a two-way tie for second place between Behrens and reporter Mac Cordell.
Falling knife Cordell reversed course and went 5-2 for the week, while Behrens finished at 4-3. They are both 87-33 for the season.
Managing editor Chad Williamson and sports editor Tim Miller had been tied going into last week’s slate of games.
Williamson went 5-2, while Miller limped to a 4-3 record.
Williamson is now 83-37 for the season and Miller is on his heels at 82-38.
Reporter Will Channell can’t seem to get out of the way of his own shadow and remains in the basement after his 4-3 record. He is 80-40 for the season.
All of the Pickers showed their lack of faith in the Cleveland Browns, who defeated the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
We don’t have to worry about the Brownies for the time being as they are on a bye week.
This week’s guest Pickers are Dean Cook, Dave Laslow and Bob Van Hoose.

Disclaimers:
Williamson: “Pretty much a big plate of nothing on this week’s slate of games. I’d really like to pick Iowa State because they seem to rise up in big games, but I can’t quite pull the trigger. I don’t think this is the week to try to make any moves.”
Miller: “Pretty stale slate of college games this week. Next week’s regular-season finale will have a bigger feast for Thanksgiving.”
Behrens: “Jim Dandy Dillon is safe for another week as we all picked the same teams.”
Cordell: “There are several games I feel very unsure about, but none of them I want to buck the trend on. I think next week is moving week.”
Dillon: “In the words of Behrens… ‘the cream rises to the top.’ I think that has finally happened.”
Channell: “I already can’t remember who I picked.”
Cook: “Go Bucks!”
Laslow: “Go Bucks!”
Van Hoose: “Go Bucks!”
