Sports writer Sam Dillon posted a perfect 9-0 record during last week’s Pigskin Pickers after “Channeling” Cordell’s picks.
As such, he maintains a season-lead of 61-10.
Reporter Mac Cordell, also known as the Falling Knife, is breathing down Dillon’s neck.
He also went 9-0 and is a game back in the race at 60-11.
It’s a very tight race for third place.
Publisher Kevin Behrens and sports editor Tim Miller both went 8-1.
Behrens sports a 58-13 season record, but Miller is on his heels at 57-14.
Managing editor Chad Williamson went with his heart and picked his beloved Michigan Wolverines over Penn State and Marysville to beat Upper Arlington.
The Nittany Lions’ victory gave Williams a 7-2 record.
He now stands alone in last place and is the odds on favorite to buy pizza at 56-15.
Our guest pickers and their records from last week are Bob Van Hoose of Bob Van Hoose Garage Doors and Sales (8-1), Scotts Weeks of Weeks Plumbing (8-1), Dave Laslow of Burger King (8-1 ), Dean Cook of Dean Cook Nationwide Insurance (7-2), Rob Eubanks of Eubanks Electric (5-4) and Kellie O’Connors of Buckeye Family Pizzeria (7-2).

Disclaimers:
Williamson: “I’m looking for Marysville to pick up a game for me this week after losing that heartbreaker last week. And these morons think it’s funny to put Michigan on the schedule week in and week out. But it’s easy for them to pick games when they don’t have any teams that they support. Behrens is like a jellyfish floating in the sea, letting the current take him wherever it chooses because they are both hollow on the inside.”
Behrens: “Kind of par for the course, Wee Willy Williamson has taken the low road and is now insulting Miller for putting his beloved Wolverines on the schedule and me for being ahead of him in the race. Desperate times call for desperate measures for the Michigan fan I guess. I’m not sure it’s going to help him win the race, though.”
Miller: “North Union shouldn’t have any problems with Urbana. Jonathan Alder has a tough task on its hands against Springfield Shawnee. The same can be said for Fairbanks against Mechanicsburg.”
Cordell: “There are a couple games I look forward to seeing, but they are fairly easy to pick. Auburn has surprised me with its defense and I think this is a solid test for LSU before they go to Alabama. Even so, the LSU offense is very good and should roll. I am more concerned about the Browns. I think the Patriots broke Sam Darnold and there is a chance he never recovers. I fear they could do the same to Baker Mayfield.”
Dillon: “Cut and dry week on the Picker’s schedule. Marysville has an opportunity to set itself up for a post-season berth. Hopefully the win that was taken from them last week will give them the juice to get past Davidson.”
