The Lady Panthers of Fairbanks upped their record to 3-4 with Saturday’s 41-33 win at Cedarville.
FHS held an 11-9 margin at the end of the opening quarter and took a 19-16 edge at the turn.
Fairbanks outscored Cedarville, 15-6, during the third set and held a 34-22 advantage as the final quarter got under way.
Carley Lehman led the Lady Panthers with 12 points, while Macy Miller tossed in 11.
Lillian Miller hauled down 12 rebounds and Lehman dished for a trio of assists.
Also putting points in the book for Fairbanks were Megan Rausch-six, Lillian Miller-five, Elaina Lahmers-five and Emma Kugel-two.

JA tops DeSales
The Pioneer boys went on the road and knocked off DeSales (8-3), 49-44.
In doing so, Alder upped its record to 7-2 on the season.
JA managed only 16 points over the second and third quarters, but still took a 33-32 edge into the final eight minutes of action.
Jackson Izzard led Alder with 15 points.
Jack Santa-Emma and Logan Stevens both tossed in 10.

Charity stripe helps Lady Pioneers
JA’s girls hit 15-of-18 from the charity stripe during a 57-53 triumph over Tecumseh.
Sydney Bourquin and Abby Jones both led JA (8-2) with 14 points.
Emma Shepherd and Mary Ferrito joined them in double figures, each tallying 10 points.
Alder held a 14-13 edge at the end of the opening set, but trailed 26-24 at the turn.
Tecumseh’s lead stood at 43-40 by the end of the third period.

FHS loses at buzzer
The Elgin Comets got a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Carter Sager to edge Fairbanks’ boys, 47-44.
FHS (5-5) got off to a very cold start as Sean Galsterer’s bucket accounted for its only points during the first period.
Elgin held a 13-2 lead at the end of the set.
Trey Good tallied seven points during the second quarter as the Panthers battled back to within 21-16 by halftime.
The Comets took a 33-28 margin into the final stanza.
The Panthers rallied to tie the game at 44-all as Mason Winkle swished a trio of trifectas.
Sager sank the winning trey as time expired.

Lady Cardinals fall
Triad’s girls basketball team slipped to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 41-31 loss at Madison Plains.
The Lady Cardinals managed just one point during the first period on a free throw by Cati LeVan.
The Golden Eagles took a 10-1 lead into the ensuing quarter and held a 20-9 margin by halftime.
The Cardinals trailed 30-18 by the end of the third stanza.

Triad boys drop game
The Cardinals slipped to 0-6 on the season with a 56-28 loss to Sidney Lehman.
Triad managed just 10 points during the first half and Lehman held a 23-10 lead at the break.
The Cardinals found themselves on the short end of the stick by a 41-16 count as the third quarter came to an end.
Ayden Sanford led Triad with 15 points. He was followed by Batai Lease-four, Ayden Spriggs-three and Dillon Nott, Greg Sizemore and Garret Talbot-two each.
