Fairbanks’ girls track and field team won a quad home meet earlier this week.
The Lady Panthers finished with 96.5 points.
Bellefontaine was the runner-up with 75, followed by Calvary Christian-30.5 and Liberty Christian Academy-four.
The FHS boys placed second in a tri-meet.
Bellefontaine tallied 123 points, followed by Fairbanks-53 and Calvary Christian-40.
First-place finishes were turned in by the following Panther athletes:
-Cohen Riley, 100 meter dash, 11.30;
-Rachael Hoover, 200 meter dash, 27.30;
-Charley Shope, 300 meter hurdles, 50.60;
-Alexis Wojcehowics, 400 meter dash, 1:04.80.
FMS athletes compete
Fairbanks’ middle school track squads competed in multi-team meets this week.
North Union won the girls meet with 159 points.
Buckeye Valley was the runner-up with 130, followed by Fairbanks-114, Ridgemont-60, Pleasant-55, St. John’s-44 and Ridgedale-two.
First-place finishes for the Lady Panthers were as follows:
-4×100 meter relay: Corrina Seaborn, Laynie Burgel, Logan Fillman, Lailynn Burns, 55.89;
-200 meter hurdles: Fillman, 33.78;
-Shot put: Sophie Bostwick, 34-5;
-Discus: Bostwick, 70-6.5.
NU captured the boys meet with 120 points, followed by Buckeye Valley-95, Ridgedale-93, Ridgemont-90, Fairbanks-88, Pleasant-82 and St. John’s-12.
First-place efforts by the FMS boys were as follows:
-4×100 meter relay: Brennan Peffer, Leo Winner, Max Winner, Collin Bailey, 50.47;
-Shot put: L. Winner, 39-9.
