Sarah Writesel of Fairbanks pitched a perfect game as the Lady Panthers toppled Triad, 14-0, during an Ohio Heritage Conference game.
Writesel fanned six and did not allow a base runner during the contest that ended in five innings due to the run rule.
The Lady Panthers plated seven runs in both the second and third innings to claim the victory.
Fairbanks (13-5 overall and 9-4 in the OHC) finished the game with 16 hits and took advantage of a trio of Cardinal fielding miscues.
Jenna Dee led FHS with three hits. She doubled twice and tallied a pair of RBIs.
Hailey Dee, Anna Dulle, Macey Kise and Writesel each finished with two hits.
Morgan Alexander took the loss in the pitching circle for the Lady Cardinals.
Triad slipped to 3-15 overall and 1-11 in the OHC.

Pioneers win
Jonathan Alder’s baseball squad got back on the winning track with a 12-0 verdict over Springfield Shawnee.
The victory upped JA’s overall record to 12-5 and its Central Buckeye Conference mark at 11-2.
The Pioneers lead Tecumseh by one game in the CBC’s Kenton Trail Division.
Garrett Roach went two-for-three at the plate and drove in three runs for the Pioneers.
Also hitting safely for Alder (with one hit apiece) were Andrew Harp, Ashton Martin, Chase Maynard and Hank Shoemaker.
Chase Chopin started on the bump for Jonathan Alder.
He struck out three and issued a like number of free passes during four innings of work.
Chopin yielded Shawnee’s lone hit of the day.
Brennan Nichols pitched an inning of relief for the Pioneers.

Lady Pioneers triumph
The Alder softball squad also downed Shawnee by a 4-1 count.
Marlee Jacobs fanned 16 batters, walked one and surrendered five hits to pick up the victory.
The Lady Pioneers held a 3-0 lead after 3 ½ innings.
Shawnee plated its lone run in the home half of the fourth.
Jonathan Alder tallied eight hits, led by Danielle Robbins, who went four-for-four at the plate.
Evan Platfoot finished with a pair of hits.
Also hitting safely were Jacobs (who drove in three runs) and Kylie King.
The victory boosted JA’s CBC record to 13-0.
The Lady Pioneers (who are 16-1 overall) lead the circuit’s Kenton Trail Division by three games over Kenton Ridge.
