Fairbanks’ girls soccer squad notched its first win of the 2021 campaign on Saturday.
The Lady Panthers scored a 2-1 triumph over Columbus Wellington.
Ellie Carter scored the first goal of the game with 12:08 remaining in the opening half.
Fairbanks kept the pressure on the Jaguars’ keeper during the second half.
Addie Thrush gave FHS a 2-0 lead with 21:33 remaining on the timer.
Wellington avoided the shutout with a goal at the 3:07 mark of the contest.
Madi Cook tallied three saves against the Jaguars.
The Lady Panthers (1-1-0) will play at Bellefontaine on Tuesday.
