The Lady Panthers traveled to Madison Plains for an Ohio Heritage Conference soccer battle on the Golden Eagles’ senior night.
FHS (1-0) held a 5-0 lead until Madison Plains scored late in the contest on Thursday.
The first half was a very physical battle with the Lady Panthers firing 12 shots and producing just one goal.
A cross from Anna Poling to Ellie Carter netted the first goal three minutes into the match.
Avery Groves of Fairbanks turned back the Eagles’ lone shot on goal during the first 40 minutes.
Fairbanks opened the second half with a fierce attack and fired 20 shots on goal.
Molly Olson tallied a trio of second-half goals, with two of those on corner kicks.
Carter added a pair of second-half goals and Macy Miller added one.
