Fairbanks’ boys varsity bowling team split a triangular match on Friday.
Elgin won the match with a team score of 2256.
The Panthers were second with 2211 and Springfield Catholic Central tallied 1985.
Anthony Nichols led FHS with a two-game series of 377. He rolled games of 176 and 201.
Nichols was followed by Jacob Nichols (150-170-320), Trevin Rausch (169-144-313), J.D. Welch (157-129-286) and Peter LaPointe (133-144-277).
The Panther jayvees rolled a 1667 to win their match. Elgin’s reserves finished with a 1475 and SCC tallied a score of 934.
Chris Weese led Fairbanks with a 132-163-295 series.
He was followed by Travis Dellinger (133-147-280), Grant Hamm (126-118-244) and Michael Kutz (123-99-22).
Anders Rege rolled a one-game score of 88, while John Carter finished with a 79.
The Lady Panthers also finished second during their triangular match.
Elgin won the competition with a team score of 1832.
FHS rolled a 1686 and SCC finished with a score of 1391.
Sophia Lytle led the Fairbanks girls with a 148-140-288.
She was followed by McKenzie Nichols (115-149-264), Lily Dellinger (125-125-250), Claire Ruff (124103-227) and Brie Walters (100-97-197).
MHS bowlers in action
Marysville’s boys bowlers placed ninth during Saturday’s Pioneer Baker Bash Tournament hosted by Olentangy Orange High School.
After bowling 16 baker games, the Monarchs finished 30 pins from qualifying for the second round.
MHS finished with a total score of 2892.
Marysville’s girls and boys lost to Reynoldsburg last week.
The girls fell, 1288-668.
Miaella Cudnohoske bowled a two-game high series of 224.
The boys lost to Reynoldsburg, 2334-2175.
Zach Tompkins led the team by bowling a two-game series of 407, followed closely by Dale Barker with a 403.
