The Fairbanks High School boys basketball team is currently in its second coronavirus-related shutdown.
The Panthers had to postpone home games against West Jefferson (Friday) and Urbana (Saturday) this past week.
The team will be permitted to resume activities on Saturday of this week (Dec. 19), according to athletic director Larry Morris.
The Panthers have rescheduled the Ohio Heritage Conference game against West Jefferson.
It will be played on the Panthers’ home court on Monday, Dec. 21.
The JV game will begin at 6 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow.
Athletic contests that are scheduled for the Panthers this week are as follows:
-The boys and girls bowling squads are slated to host Northeastern today at 4 p.m.
-The girls basketball team will host Greenon on Wednesday, with JV action slated for 6 p.m.
-The wrestlers will compete at Saturday’s Triad Invitational.
Mat action is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
