The Lady Panthers of Fairbanks won an Ohio Heritage Conference road game on Tuesday.
FHS traveled to West Liberty-Salem and secured an 11-7 victory.
Julia Cheney was the winning pitcher. She allowed 12 hits, struck out two and walked a pair of batters.
Fairbanks scored seven runs in the second inning and never trailed.
Anna Higbee tallied three of Fairbanks’ 13 hits. She also drove in a run.
Mack Green and Riley Blevins each had two hits, while Madi Montenaro and Allison Kise each drove in a pair of runs.
“We came out in the second inning and hit the ball hard,” said Lady Panther coach Amy Sines. “That gave us a great lead.
“It’s nice when you have everyone getting at least one hit.”
The Lady Panthers upped their overall record to 10-11 and their OHC mark at 7-6.
They will travel to Greeneview on Thursday.

Panthers triumph
Fairbanks’ baseball squad made it a clean sweep over West Liberty with an 8-3 victory.
The Panthers (12-6) tallied six runs over the course of the third and fourth innings to secure the win.
Jaeden Eickhoff started on the mound and notched the victory. He fanned five and allowed eight hits.
Weston Lorenz pitched in relief during the seventh inning.
Braxton Wilhelm led Fairbanks (which will host Northeastern today) with three hits in five trips to the plate.
Connor Pack had two hits and drove in four runs.

Lady Cardinals win
Triad’s softball team scored two runs in the top seventh on a Northeastern throwing error.
As such, the Lady Cardinals won the OHC game by a 2-1 verdict.
Joni Russell was the winning pitcher for Triad, which will travel to Madison Plains today.
She allowed only two hits.
The Lady Cardinals are 11-7 overall and 8-5 in the conference.

Bunsold squad wins
The Bunsold eighth-grade softball team improved to 11-0 with a 6-0 triumph over Teays Valley.
The Lady Monarchs plated four runs in the third inning to spark the win.
Abby Christian and Haley Winans both drove in runs during that frame.
Christian pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up just one hit.
She struck out 14.
Abri Schumtz had three hits for Bunsold.
