Marysville’s boys golfers placed 14th during Thursday’s season-opening Thomas Worthington Invitational.
MHS shot a 352 during the 17-team event.
The young Monarch squad battled and put together a solid front nine at the Delaware Golf Club.
It was a tale of two nines as each Monarch had his struggles on the back nine where mistakes and penalty shots were costly.
Leading the way for MHS was Myles Young, who shot an 85.
He was followed by Andrew Rabe-87, Nick Wever-90 and Colten Montgomery-90.
The varsity Monarchs will compete on Saturday when they travel to Champions Golf Club.
