Fairbanks’ boys golf team won the Ross Hogue Memorial at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Wednesday.
The event was hosted by Indian Lake
Cole Eger led FHS with a 73. He was followed by Tyler Ufferman-79, Chase Brackenridge-80 and Andy Higinbotham-99.
Alex and Andrew Crowe were not able to play.
“On a day where we were down two of our top golfers, we had some players really step up,” said coach Zach Brown.
Monarchs place
Marysville’s boys golf team placed eighth during an OCC match on Wednesday.
The Monarchs shot a team score of 325 during the event that was held at Darby Creek.
Dublin Jerome won the eventh with a two-under par with a 286.
Andrew Rabe led MHS with a 77.
MHS placed eighth during the Monarch Invitational earlier in the week.
Marysville carded a 330.
Hilliard Davidson shot a 311 to capture the team title.
