Fairbanks’ boys basketball team went back over the .500 mark with Saturday’s 49-39 victory at Mechanicsburg.
The Panthers (3-2) limited the Indians to just five points during the opening quarter.
Trey Good and Braylon Green both tallied five markers as FHS took a 12-5 spread into the ensuing period.
Good tallied five more of his game-high 17 points during the second set.
In doing so, he helped lead the Panthers into the halftime break with a 23-15 advantage.
Wyatte Miller and Carter Schultz both scored four points during the third quarter.
Fairbanks (which will play at Madison Plains on Tuesday) took a 35-26 lead into the final eight minutes of action.

Wildcats triumph
North Union’s hoopsters upped their record to 6-1 with a 48-39 verdict at Northmor.
The Wildcats (who will host Graham on Tuesday) held a 12-9 edge at the conclusion of the opening period.
NU took a 29-21 lead at halftime and a 41-31 margin by the end of the third period.
Zach Vernon led NU with 19 points and was joined in double figures by Preston Crabtree with 14.
Also scoring for NU were Trevyn Feasel-six, Owen Davis-five, Aaron Krebehenne-three and Hudson Davis-one.
