The Lady Monarch girls soccer team upped its record to 4-5-1 on Saturday by blasting Reynoldsburg, 7-0.
Leah Brown tallied MHS’ two, first-half goals on assists from Olivia Brooks and Cam Lee.
Lee went out strong during the second half and notched a pair of goals in the first two minutes of action.
Lee put another goal into the net to finish the day with a hat trick.
She was assisted on her goals by JoJo Eberhart and Makenna Renevier.
Another pair of scores came from Renevier, who took advantage of assists by Eberhart and Vivian Blevins.
Brielle Young and Shannon Cordle split time in the net for the Lady Monarchs.
Cordle finished the contest with two saves.
The Lady Monarchs will host Dublin Jerome on Tuesday.
FHS girls fall
A pair of state-ranked teams met in Grandview on Saturday.
The Bobcats edged the Lady Panthers of Fairbanks by a 2-1 verdict.
Grandview scored two first-half goals during the physical contest and took that margin into the halftime intermission.
FHS moved its side of the scoreboard 17 minutes into the second half.
Ellie Carter blasted a corner kick that Elaina Lahmers turned into a goal.
The Lady Panthers (6-3-0) controlled the game during the majority of the second half.
However, they had several shots turned away by Grandview’s keeper.
Madi Cook finished the game with 10 saves in the net for Fairbanks.
The FHS-Grandview junior varsity contest resulted in a 0-0 draw.
The Lady Panthers will travel to West Jefferson on Thursday.
