Fairbanks’ girls hoop squad upped its record to 6-4 on Wednesday with a 42-28 triumph at Southeastern.
The home team led, 9-6, after the opening quarter and 17-15 by the conclusion of the first half.
The Lady Panthers exploded for 18 points during the third period and held a 33-22 margin going into the final stanza.
Elaina Lahmers and Macy Miller led FHS in scoring with respective numbers of 13 and 10 points.
Also scoring for the Lady Panthers were Carly Lehman-eight, Megan Rausch-five, Lillian Miller-three, Anna Poling-two and Emma Kugel-one.

MHS girls triumph
Marysville’s girls upped their record to 3-1 with a 46-41 win over Mechanicsburg.
The Lady Monarchs found themselves trailing 12-7 by the end of the opening quarter.
MHS cut the Indians’ margin to 19-18 at halftime, but trailed 35-30 by the end of the third set.
Ava Krutowskis, who led Marysville with 14 points, scored six during the final quarter to spur the team’s winning rally.
Kass Lee tallied 12 points for MHS, followed by Ava Wilkerson and Leah Brown-both with seven, Alyssa Strahm-four and Tinley Graves-two.

Lady Cats edge Gophers
The North Union Lady Cats pulled off a close 43-40 win over Ridgemont.
NU finished the first quarter with a slim 9-8 lead.
The Golden Gophers fought back and took a 23-20 edge into the turn.
North Union answered in the third quarter with 16 points to take a 36-35 lead.
The game took a defensive turn in the final eight minutes, but NU outscored Ridgemont 7-5 to take the three-point victory.
Jada Davis lead the team with 13 points, while Jordyn Hoffman tallied eight points.
The Lady Cats improved their record to 5-3.

Jonathan Alder’s girls hoopsters slipped to 4-2 with a 44-43 loss at Teays Valley.
The contest was deadlocked at 22-all during the halftime break.
JA held 29-26 edge at the conclusion of the third quarter.
Mary Ferrito led Alder with 21 points.
Maddie Wilson scored seven for JA, followed by Evan Platfoot-five, Reegan Gray-five, Ellie Heisler-three and Emma Shepherd-two.

FHS’ boys are now 2-2 after a 49-32 loss at Worthington Christian.
Fairbanks led, 8-5, after the opening period.
The Warriors sped up the game during the ensuing stanza.
That forced several FHS turnovers, which WC turned into a 19-12 halftime spread.
The Warriors opened up a 39-26 margin by the end of the third quarter.
Carter Schultz led the Panthers with 14 points, while Braylon Green added 10.
Wyatt Miller tallied five and Trey Good finished with three.
