Jacob Koenig scored 17 points and helped lead Jonathan Alder’s boys hoop squad to a 66-33 victory over Tecumseh on Friday.
He was joined in double figures by Jackson Izzard-14 and Henry Walker-10.
Alder (4-0) jumped out to a 19-4 lead after the opening period and took a 39-13 spread at halftime.
The Pioneers’ margin climbed to 58-30 by the end of the third quarter.

Wildcats win
North Union’s boys ran their record to 3-1 with a 41-36 victory over Northwestern on Friday.
NU held a 14-12 lead after the opening period, but both teams’ offenses struggled mightily during the ensuing set.
There were only six points tallied during that eight-minute stretch and as a result, the contest was deadlocked at 16-all by halftime.
The Wildcats found the net more to their liking during the third quarter. They hit 19 markers and carried a 35-26 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Harley Day led North Union with 13 points, while Preston Crabtree added 10.
Also scoring for the Wildcats were Connor Terrill-5, Joel Krebehenne-4, Trevor Moran-4, Trevyn Feasel-3 and Gavin Webb-2.
Lady Pioneers triumph
Jonathan Alder’s girls ran their record to 6-0 on Saturday with a 60-36 victory over Bellefontaine.
The Lady Pioneers held the Chieftains to just four points during the opening quarter and took a 29-19 margin at halftime.
Bellefontaine struggled to score seven points during the third stanza as JA climbed to a 47-26 lead.

Marysville’s boys cagers lost for the first time this season on Friday with a 56-44 setback at Central Crossing.
The Monarchs trailed 12-11 after the initial quarter, but struggled on offense during the ensuing set.
MHS managed just seven points during that stanza and trailed 29-18 by halftime.
The second half was played evenly with the Comets taking a 37-26 margin into the final quarter.
Bodie Eberhart led Marysville with 21 points and was joined in double figures by Gabe Schaeffer, who tallied 10.

Triad’s boys lost two games over the weekend.
The Cardinals fell to Mechanicsburg, 62-43, on Friday and to Madison Plains, 68-62, on Saturday.
Triad slipped to 0-6 with the setbacks.
Drew Campbell led the Cardinals with 15 points against Mechanicsburg.
No details were reported on Saturday’s game by press-time.
Lady Cardinals drop game
Triad’s girls fell to Mechanicsburg, 53-40, on Saturday.
The Lady Cardinals trailed 25-17 at the turn, but pulled to within 33-30 by the end of the third quarter.
The Indians key several key free throws down the stretch to win the game.
