Jonathan Alder’s girls wrestling squad recently wrapped up its regular-season tournament schedule.
The Lady Pioneers tallied 51 points and tied with Marion Harding for 15th during the Delaware Hayes Girls Invitational.
Warren took the tournament crown by scoring 160 points.
Delaware Hayes was the runner-up with 138, while Westerville North took third place by notching 117.
A trio of Jonathan Alder grapplers reached the awards podium.
Tristen Gregory came up short in the 100-pound championship match. She was pinned by Marion Harding’s Emily Vice in the third period.
Lelsi Sanchez (170) finished in third place. The Lady Pioneer came out on top with a 3-1 decision over Hilliard Darby’s Mykah Bailey in the placement match.
JA’s 110-pounder Natalie Musil took sixth place. She was defeated by Worthington Kilbourne’s Samira Lin by way of a 7-5 decision in the placement match.
Also competing for Jonathan Alder were Brooke Walker (120) and Annie Saxour (235).
The Lady Pioneers will host the Ohio High School Athletic Association girls sectional tournament on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m.
The Lady Monarchs of Marysville will also compete on the Jonathan Alder mats.
