The Lady Pioneers of Jonathan Alder pushed across one run in the visitors’ half of the fourth inning on Monday.
That was all JA needed as it squeaked out a 1-0 decision over Kenton Ridge.
Shanna Higgins singled to drive in Lily Walker with the only run the Lady Pioneers needed.
Alder finished the game with five hits.
Higgins, Marlee Jacobs, Kylie King, Lizzie Lombardi and Walker all hit safely.
Jacobs scattered a pair of hits in picking up the victory.
She fanned nine batters and did not walk any in seven innings of work.
Alder improved its record to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference.
The Lady Pioneers will host Kenton Ridge on Wednesday.

NU girls triumph
North Union’s softball squad needed just five innings to pummel Northwestern, 12-0.
NU led 3-0 after the opening inning and piled on nine runs in the third.
Bailee Amstutz drove in four runs, while Jada Davis and Cagney Stewart both tallied two ribbies.
Amstutz, Davis, Reese DeCamp and Stewart each notched a pair of hits.
DeCamp pitched four innings for the victory. She allowed two hits and fanned two.
Laine Sparks hurled the final inning for the Lady Cats.
NU (10-4 overall and 5-3 in the CBC) will travel to Northwestern on Wednesday.
