Jonathan Alder’s softball squad went on the road and defeated Olentangy Liberty, 8-3, on Saturday.
The victory upped the Lady Pioneers’ record to 17-4.
Evan Platfoot finished with three of JA’s 11 hits and drove in three runs.
Maggie McCoy had two hits.
Also hitting safely for Jonathan Alder were Kiersten Dolby, Shanna Higgins, Riley Magginis, Gracie Napier, Natalie Neumeier and Caroline Timberlake.
Higgins finished with two RBIs.
Dolby, Napier and Neumeier also drove in runs.
Alyssa Miller started in the pitching circle and went the first four innings. She fanned seven and walked one.
Macy Pruitt and Eliza Shuping also pitched.
The Lady Pioneer trio combined for a no-hitter.
Pioneers win
JA’s baseball squad claimed its 19th victory in 20 games with Saturday’s 4-0 verdict over Wapakoneta.
Alder tallied single runs in the first and third and tacked on a pair of insurance scores in the fifth.
The Pioneers outhit their opponent 8-2.

Panthers fall
Fairbanks’ baseball squad slipped to 10-9 with a 9-6 setback at Cardington.
Hayden Queen finished with four hits in as many trips to the plate.
Cole Justus and Dayne Madison both finished with two hits.
Aiden Luellen, Zavier Payne, Carson Reames and Max Snyder each tallied one hit.
Payne drove in a pair of runs.
Aiden Luellen and Owen Woody saw action on the mound.
They combined to yield eight hits and walk seven. There were no strikeouts.
