Marysville’s boys varsity lacrosse team suffered a 23-1 loss at home to Dublin Jerome.
The first quarter of play did not go the way Marysville wanted as the visiting Celtics notched 13 goals during that timeframe.
In the second quarter, Marysville’s Jordan Anspach secured the team’s only goal of the night while Dublin Jerome added another seven on their end.
After halftime, the Celtics scored another three goals and coasted to the lopsided victory.
Inside the cage, goalie Griffin Ahlstrom recorded 11 saves.
Earning face-off wins for Marysville included Carson Marrs (five), Cole Clarridge (two) and Vanyn Fultz (one).
The Monarchs fell to 4-10 on the season with a 1-4 record in the Ohio Capital Conference. Marysville is currently experiencing a four-game losing streak.
