There is quality, proven talent, along with solid newcomers on the 2021-22 Jonathan Alder boys wrestling team.
The Pioneer roster features returning state qualifier Oliver Byerly and state alternate Xavier Pierce; district qualifiers Pryce Watson, Owen Crabtree and Eli Trbovich, district alternate Will Heisler and sectional placers Dominic Kroninger and Damon Hay.
Additional lettermen for JA are Nick Finke, JJ Bay, Henry Sivillo, Aspen Cameron, , Brennan Nichols, Jesus Martinez, Isaak Ricker, Austin Preston, Andrew Richey and Jake Nuemeier.
Newcomers to the boys program are Owen Braithwaite, Wyatt Kaizer, Alessandro Ventura and Kaiqi Cen.
Freshmen include Trenton Moodispaugh, Giapaulo Jones, Ethan Kuhns, Jonathan Park, Anthony Kroninger, Jimmy Finke-Ashcraft, AJ Delong, Younes Moussa, Christian Dellapina and Jack Bowers.
“This group has two-time returning CBC champs, returning sectional champs and we qualified for the state duals competition for the second year in a row,” said head coach Tony Watson.
“There is some great experience combined with a good addition of young talent,” he said.
“We look forward to seeing what this group does to build on to what’s started.”
